Valentine's Dance; Town Hall; Friday Evening [8 pm - 10 pm]

Arrivals to town hall would notice that the Student Council took a darker approach to the decorations this year. The colors of the streamers, balloons and table cloths were in shades of dark red and black. Instead of cut outs of hearts and pictures of cupid, there were broken mirrors hanging on the walls, open umbrellas scattered about the room, fake cobwebs on the wall and glittery cut outs of the number "13" hung everywhere.

You even had to walk under a huge ladder in order to get into the dance.

Sure, they were tempting fate by having a Friday the 13th themed dance but this was Fandom. What's the worst that could happen?

"Pizza and chocolate," she suggested. "A winner there for sure. Hm." She glanced over in Liir's direction. "Surely we're going to plan something. I hope."

"Maybe he's surprising you," Hannibal suggested. "Some guys are like that. Don't give away their top secret plans before the big day."

"Uh. Liir doesn't do surprises. Maybe I should surprise him," she said with a little waggling of her brows.

"See, that's hot," he said and winked. "Girls surprising the guy? Hot. I love when someone does that to me."

"Really?" she asked, encouraged now. "Then maybe I should consider this more fully. Like... what to do for instance."

"Really," he said. "Most of the time, it's reversed so the guy really won't expect a surprise. So, when it happens, it's even better because it's genuine surprise."

Amber bit her lip, thoughtfully. "You know, Liir is not your traditional guy, right?"

"Doesn't matter," Hannibal said. "You do it for him, he's going to like it because it comes from you."

She smiled, pleased with that answer. "Then I am going to definitely work out this surprise in my head and see what I can come up with."

"See, I am full of good ideas if only people would just ask me," he teased.

"Well, you could expand on this good idea and give me a little hint about what you might like to see when a girl surprises you?" she suggested, looking a little wicked.

"Depends on the holiday," he said coyly.

"Let's say... it's Valentine's Day," she said, just as coy.

"Well, food's always good," he said. "A surprise dinner or dessert that I don't to cook or order? Always nice. Candles, yes. Maybe even a mushy gushy note or two. Something personal. See, I'm easy?"

"Oh, yah, I can totally do that." She'd have to order food. "Chocolate too. Candles... niiice. I'm totally easy too and I think Liir would be pleasantly surprised."

"Exactly," he said. "And since it's a holiday for you both, do things you both will like. Movies, cuddling, dancing, that sort of thing. Surprise him but focus on both of you."

"Soft music, cuddling and dancing. This could be very romantic," she said. "I should pick up a little something to wear..."

"Little being the operative word, huh?" Okay, couldn't help the tease.

Amber blushed. "More or less, I don't think it would make a difference. Just something... pretty yet alluring."

"Which is always nice," he assured her. "Pretty clothing on a pretty girl is pretty nice for us guys."

She laughed. "Okay, no more talk about pretty clothing on pretty girls. My cheeks are warm enough."

"Awww, you're so cute," he said and laughed. "Okay, no more talk. Classes going okay?"

Pfft. "No, you are," she laughed. "But yes, classes are great, actually. I love love love Food Appreciation."

"...why didn't I take that one?" he asked, frowning. "That's like my ideal class!"

"This last week? Aphrodisiacs," she nodded. "Oysters and chocolate and so much more."
