Valentine's Dance; Town Hall; Friday Evening [8 pm - 10 pm]

Arrivals to town hall would notice that the Student Council took a darker approach to the decorations this year. The colors of the streamers, balloons and table cloths were in shades of dark red and black. Instead of cut outs of hearts and pictures of cupid, there were broken mirrors hanging on the walls, open umbrellas scattered about the room, fake cobwebs on the wall and glittery cut outs of the number "13" hung everywhere.

You even had to walk under a huge ladder in order to get into the dance.

Sure, they were tempting fate by having a Friday the 13th themed dance but this was Fandom. What's the worst that could happen?

[Wait for the OCD or so help me...I'll hurt you is here! Up early because Natalie said so and to get the most out of play. Second part to go up later on tonight (tomorrow?) to save browsers and to spike punch]

"Edward, hi!" Dinah glee'd, glad to see him after over a week. "We didn't get to do anything last weekend. I was kinda crazy. Did it go well? Did you bring Adora as your date?" She poked his sleeve, and grinned. "Very prince-like."

He beamed at her. "I was kind of strange too! It was...strange! Yet amazing! I did! I brought her, Dinah! She called me upon my message thing and asked me to this dance! It's lovely!" JOY! "Did you come with a date?"

Dinah laughed, wondering what strange for Edward would be. "Good for her!" She felt a little wistful about it, but... Adora was nice. She'd have to talk to her more, and get to know her better if she was going to be dating Edward. "I came with Tony! As my friend-date, not boyfriendly-date."

Dinah choked on a laugh at the irony, then nodded vigorously. "Very! He was defending my honor this week. Not that it needed it, but he was right there, doing that." She looked around, got on tiptoe, then pointed him out over by the snacks table. "That's him, over there with the dark hair. And should I have a word with Adora?" she teased just a little. "She's in one of my classes."

GASP. "You needed your honor defended!? Oooh, Dinah, why did you not tell me? I shall dispatch the scoundrel at one; point him out!" He made a show of looking around, even as she pointed out her date. Hm. He was...a date. Hm. "He seems friendly. I shall save judgement until I meet him." He looked at her. "Adora should enjoy any and all company from you, lovely Dinah!"

"Nooo! It was a misunderstanding," Dinah said hastily, thinking that she really did not want to see Edward face off with Leto; the potential for nuclear disaster proportions of damage and comedy was too high. "And yay on the saving judgement. I'm glad your first date went well, since you're here on your second?" She looked hopeful for details. Yay vicarious romaaaaance.

"Explain this misunderstanding, please?" he asked her. He had to know! "First date was very nice. We had ice cream! I walked her back to her room and it was nice! My stomach was in knots, but I am wonderfully well this evening!"

Oh, ack. "Oh, Tony, um--" Okay. there was just no good way to explain this. "Thought someone was being... impolite! Right. But they weren't. That's all." Hastily, Dinah re-focused the talk back on Edward. "Awww. Your stomach's okay now? Not nervous any more?" She paused, then had to ask: "And, uh. Priestly talked to you, right?"
