Valentine's Dance; Town Hall; Friday Evening [8 pm - 10 pm]

Arrivals to town hall would notice that the Student Council took a darker approach to the decorations this year. The colors of the streamers, balloons and table cloths were in shades of dark red and black. Instead of cut outs of hearts and pictures of cupid, there were broken mirrors hanging on the walls, open umbrellas scattered about the room, fake cobwebs on the wall and glittery cut outs of the number "13" hung everywhere.

You even had to walk under a huge ladder in order to get into the dance.

Sure, they were tempting fate by having a Friday the 13th themed dance but this was Fandom. What's the worst that could happen?

"Of course it just wasn't the talking that time," he said. "I think you would have punched me if I just tried talking. But, the talking helps. And you haven't even heard my best."

Chuck raised an eyebrow. What he had heard before was pretty damn good. "I'm calling your bluff."

"You want me to talk right now?" Hannibal asked, looking around.

Chuck leaned away from him slightly. "I'm not letting you try to turn me on in front of the whole school."

"Shucks," he said but was secretly happy about that. No need for the school to watch him if he failed. "You just know I would."

"Doubtful," Chuck lied. "I just don't feel like causing you embarrassment."

"Uh huh." They could have this argument all night, really, and it would always be fun. "You bring a date?"

He just wanted to see Chuck's reaction.

"Oh yeah, I totally did. Bought her flowers and everything. We're going to dance and only have eyes for each other all night long," Chuck said. He sighed. "And then maybe if I'm lucky I'll get a goodnight kiss."

"A goodnight kiss!" Hannibal enthused, hand on his heart. "Oh, Charles, how lucky you are to have found someone who is so into you! I'm jealous! Jealous, I say!"

"You should be," Chuck said. He pretended to wipe away a tear. "I think she might be the one."

"Then you must marry her," Hannibal said, nodding. "You must make her yours before someone steals her away and your chance at the truest of true loves is lost forever!"

"Then I will! I'll marry her and we'll live in a big house with a white picket fence and have six kids and--oh my god, I'm making myself sick just joking about it," he said, wrinkling up his nose.

"Do I need to get you a bag?" Hannibal asked, breaking into laughter. "To breathe in since we were just talking about marriage and all?"

"I think I'll be fine," Chuck said. "Just had to take a second to remind myself I can fuck whomever I want. All better now."

"Mmm, yes you can unless you get a boo boo again," he teased.

"I did fine with that earlier this week," Chuck reminded him. "Like that would stop me."

"If Sam asked you nicely, I bet you would," Hannibal teased. "Because someone looooooooooves Sam."

"I would not listen to him," Chuck mumbled. Please. As if Hannibal could know what Sam asked. Or that Chuck had been kind of listening to his advice.

"I believe you," Hannibal said and laughed. "Nice mumbling there, Chuck. Where's the confidence?"

Chuck sighed. "...he might have already told me to lay off the sex."

For a minute, Hannibal just stared at Chuck.

And then he started laughing.

Quite a lot.

"Oh my god, shut the fuck up," Chuck said, moving to elbow Hannibal in the ribs.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry," he said, rubbing his ribs and calming down. "He's just...such a goody two shoes!"

"You don't think I know that?" Chuck said, smiling slightly. "I already told him that the chances of me actually listening to him were slim."

"Have you had sex since then?" Hannibal asked.
