Valentine's Dance; Town Hall; Friday Evening [8 pm - 10 pm]

Arrivals to town hall would notice that the Student Council took a darker approach to the decorations this year. The colors of the streamers, balloons and table cloths were in shades of dark red and black. Instead of cut outs of hearts and pictures of cupid, there were broken mirrors hanging on the walls, open umbrellas scattered about the room, fake cobwebs on the wall and glittery cut outs of the number "13" hung everywhere.

You even had to walk under a huge ladder in order to get into the dance.

Sure, they were tempting fate by having a Friday the 13th themed dance but this was Fandom. What's the worst that could happen?

[Wait for the OCD or so help me...I'll hurt you is here! Up early because Natalie said so and to get the most out of play. Second part to go up later on tonight (tomorrow?) to save browsers and to spike punch]

"I'll try not to." She shook her head. "You know, I didn't really think of you as the going-to-the-dance type, so the StuCo thing makes sense."

The fact that she could tease him while wearing a suit she wasn't all that comfortable in suggested just how little threat she felt he posed to her.

Ender didn't particularly mind not being percieved as a threat; in fact, he welcomed it. No matter how hard he worked at coming off as normal, most people were still wary about him.

"I think that in a few hours, I won't be able to feel my legs," he said, "But it'll have been a good sacrifice."

"Ever one to do your duty, huh?" Triela snorted. She didn't really know about his background, so that was supposed to be a harmless comment.

Ender smiled slightly. "I think mostly I just seem to like being proactively bored." He was more than happy to keep that concept firmly in her mind.

"Programmed?" she repeated, not entirely sure he was kidding. "I didn't know you had been." She tried to keep her tone slightly-teasing so that he wouldn't read much into it.

"Better show off your curtsey, then." The rhythm of the banter wasn't as familiar as the one he'd known, but Ender had managed to learn this one through a course of repeated exposure.
