April Fools' Dance, An Abandoned Warehouse, Friday Night

The first arrivals to the warehouse would have found nothing - until the lights went on, dropping many shades of glitter down onto the floor. The glitter would stick around all night, almost-but-not-quite clashing with the colorful decor, though it did not seem to incite any boykissy.

Even if one of the janitors definitely took a shot at using it as an excuse.

There was a karaoke booth set up in the corner, and the rest of the party environment looked chaotic and incredibly merry. Reds, blues, and yellows had been thrown together like a crazy man had attacked the place with some paint.

"I suppose we'll just have to live with the glitter," Tahiri decided, smothering a laugh. "We're going to be finding it in our things for the next few decades."

"It'll go so well with your hair," Tahiri went on, reaching up (and standing on tiptoe) to ruffle said hair. "Don't worry; I think you're still perfectly passable-looking with glitter everywhere."

"That's just the sort of gushing praise I expect from you," Ben teased, leaning in to kiss her.

"Because of course I exist largely to inflate your ego, Skywalker." The way Tahiri wrapped her arms around him, you wouldn't think she was all that put out about the claim.

. . . which was the opposite of true, naturally.

"No fooling?" Tahiri scrunched her face up and grinned at him. "That's not in the spirit of the holiday, is it? But no fooling -- I love you, too."

"You're such a gentleman," Tahiri told him with a long-suffering sigh. "For a boy who just sprouted horns like a Devaronian, that is."

She was nice enough not to compare him to Elassar Targon, at least?

"I don't think they go very well with your hair at all," Tahiri informed him sadly. "They might, only yours seem to be growing in in a bright shade of neon green."

"In this room, how can you tell?" Ben replied, then grinned. "In that case, we'll match. Yours seems to be trying to match your dress."

"I'm one up on you, then," Tahiri returned spiritedly. "A shame I haven't learned how to whap you with this amazingly lightweight new tail of mine yet."

"Oh, really? Don't look now, Skywalker, but --" Tahiri pretended to peer around him and look concerned. "A stray nexu cub just imprinted on you. It'll follow you around forever now."
