April Fools' Dance, An Abandoned Warehouse, Friday Night

The first arrivals to the warehouse would have found nothing - until the lights went on, dropping many shades of glitter down onto the floor. The glitter would stick around all night, almost-but-not-quite clashing with the colorful decor, though it did not seem to incite any boykissy.

Even if one of the janitors definitely took a shot at using it as an excuse.

There was a karaoke booth set up in the corner, and the rest of the party environment looked chaotic and incredibly merry. Reds, blues, and yellows had been thrown together like a crazy man had attacked the place with some paint.

"I know!" Dinah glee'd and moved around so she could hug him from the front. "If we get too tired, we can walk into our room and faceplant and be totally okay! Why is there bread on your shirt?"

Dinah blinked at him, then grinned. "Does that make me a parsley garnish or something?" Still with the hugging. "We have to send pix back to Jen, you realize. She'll think we're at DisneyWorld."

"Or possibly a circle of hell." Priestly looked to where she was clinging (not that he wasn't clinging back). "I think maybe you're the olive stuck through the top or something."

"As long as there's no toothpicks or staking or stabbing involved, I'm good with that." Dinah grinned. "I could jump into a martini later. How *is* Jen? Has she met Fuzzy Wuzzy yet?"

Re-glomp. Dinah grinned at him. "Thank you. Even if I worry. 'Cause it's not like Kyle's in these classes, and I fundamentally disagree with a lot of people in my courses-- pre-law, tons of them. Do you have to make a big final project for this year?"

"Yeah, I can see that. Oh!" She poked his arm. "I put Alfred cookies in the mini-fridge in the suite, and he sent a notebook of these sauces and vinaigrettes he thought you might want to try with me, it's back in my bag too."

Priestly's eyes went wide. "Oh dude, seriously? We should totally do that. We'll have a sauce party this weekend."

Dinah grinned wider. "Plan! I am so blowing off all thoughts of school this weekend. We can get chips and veggies and anything else we can think of and eat them all! And then maybe jump off the balcony."

Or, you know, Dinah, at least.

"I stayed on!" Like that made the insanity less true. "And it wasn't the Metro, that would've gotten us arrested in five minutes. Well. If they could've caught us."

... no, swinging from a grappling hook while blindfolded would be a good way to smack in to a building. Not a good way to get away.

Alfred was nodding commiseratingly at him somewhere. "Only a little tiny bit? I mean, if I left out all the dangerous bits, I'd just be telling you about making out with Kyle. Or legal causality."

"Oh wow, you still haven't," Dinah realized. "Yes! When you come to New Gotham. He's not leaving to go back to Metropolis for the summer 'til the end of May." She beamed a little, bouncing on her toes. "It's going good."
