The Beach, Friday Evening

The weather was still a little cloudy in the evening, but it was warm enough that hopefully people would still feel like partying. There was certainly enough food for a party, along with cool drinks and equipment for beach games like beach volleyball. Or beach dodgeball. Or beach something-else-with-balls because the residents and alumni of Fandom tended to be a creative and violent lot.

As the sun went down, the tiki torches came out, so there was no rush to head back indoors. It was time for an evening of fun!

By the time Atton had made it back to the island, it was already dark-- which meant the torches were prominently in view.

He let his curiosity get the better of him, and now here he was. At a beach party, apparently. "This is new," he muttered.

Was Peter showing up to a tacky tiki party in a full suit? You bet your ass. Even if it was leaning towards the cheaper end of the spectrum, because this was Fandom, and you never knew when something weird was going to happen.

"I'm taking back my remarks," he said. "A vacation was a terrible idea. Look at this place!"

Natalie wasn't getting sand anywhere uncomfortable. Sand under her feet and between her toes was perfectly comfortable, and she was holding her shoes in her hand for that exact reason.

She didn't even mind her dress occasionally touching the sand as well.

Isabelle's dress was not at all beach-appropriate, and she did not give a damn about that. She needed to get some happy memories to associate it with, or she'd have to throw it away.

Also it would be good for wading into the water a little, later, if that ended up being something she'd like to do.

Stiles felt like he was in town about once every other week but he didn't want to pass up an official excuse to come to the island. He had been kind of bored at home anyway.

He stood off to the side with a drink and eyed up all the people he didn't recognize.

Didi only had a few hours before she was due at the bar, but she couldn't think of a better way to spend them than a party. She put on a dress that seemed right for a beach party and went barefoot, parasol in hand to protect her skin until the sun came down.

She was curious if anyone would remember her from the last time on the island.

Between curiosity about who might show up that she hadn't seen in a while and the fact that it'd been a while since they'd had a good beach party, Kitty felt like she kinda had to be here. She had her flip flops in one hand and a drink in the other, and she couldn't complain about any of this.

It was always a little bit odd coming back to Fandom after living somewhere else for awhile. But it also always felt more than a little like coming home.

Priestly was here, kilted and at ease as he found himself a spot to hang back and watch the crowds go by. And resist the urge to stick things into the torches to set them on fire.

Lion-o was having a good time. Getting away from Third Earth and its evil sword-stealing mummy let him truly relax in a way that hadn't happened for a while. Though he was supposed to be visiting Fandom to do research, he figured that talking to others about the evil creatures they dealt with at home would count as "research."

Even if he'd just visited the beach a few days ago, Jasper decided that coming back to check out this party would do two things: 1) it would get him out of his room and thus out of his thoughts and 2) it'd make Howie proud.

He didn't have plans of making it a long night but he'd still come out, pants rolled up around his ankles so he could wade into the water again and stand there, watching the setting sun.

Jessica was curious how many people she knew from high school might come back. Things had changed so much for her in the past year, she was really curious if anyone else had experienced the same amount of change in their time away.

She made her way around the beach, being mindful of familiar faces, or maybe faces that seemed familiar but had transformed due to magic or a permanent mask or something.

Hanna was reminded of her time in Spain, when the torches came on, and all the evening needed was some music. Even without it, though, the beach was lovely, and the food good. She settled in to enjoy herself.

Hannibal didn't plan on staying long, but it seemed polite to at least put in an appearance. So here he was, with his own wine in hand, mostly people-watching.

Every once in awhile, Sam needed to get away from Seattle and all his responsibilities there so here he was on the island. He grabbed a bottle of water while he milled around.

Kathy had heard about a party on the beach and decided to show up and check it out for a little bit. Most of the party-goers seemed to be alumni, however, leaving her feeling a little awkward and out of place. She hadn't meant to crash some kind of alumni get together!

She was just going to hang out by the food, hope she didn't spill anything on her dress, and see if more people eventually showed up that she knew.

Specifically, by the food table was the place to be. Because he was there, trying to guess at what some of the more unfamiliar things on offer were.

Johnny had a cup of punch, a Hawaiian shirt, no shoes, and was ready to flame on the second somebody said the word "bonfire." He was ready to party. And snack. And start a bonfire. Look, he was a simple man, okay?

Nathan had been planning to spend his night in the preserve but changed his plans when he realized something was happening on the beach. It was still outside so he didn't have to risk getting sick and he liked the water.

With little else to do on a Friday night, Ronan wandered out to the beach with Chainsaw in tow. His raven hadn't really ever been around that much water so she was enthralled by the sea spray and sand.

Ronan grabbed a drink and took a seat at a table.
