Three Minute Dates- Caritas- Saturday before 8:15 pm

It was that time agaaaaaain! There was a sign on the door and a banner above the stage.

CARITAS PRESENTS
THREE MINUTE DATES

Or maybe, perchance, you totally missed it somehow, and didn't run from the bar before Tino could sign you up for dates. It happens!

And then a few minutes before 8:00, Kitty took the stage under the banner, to a drumroll from the zombie drummer.

"Hello and welcome to another installment of Three Minute Dates!" Kitty began. "In case you're new to this, in a couple minutes I'm going to call out sets of names. You'll find that person, talk to them for a whole three minutes. When you hear this siren-" Oh, that was an obnoxious air horn sound. "-you'll get a new person to talk to. If you got sucked into this without your knowledge, sorry, and also it's fifteen minutes of your life, make some new friends!"


[So much OCD incoming. OCD is up! Date away! A post for Caritas after the dates will go up Saturday!]

Hannibal heard the names called and frowned, puzzled. He'd heard Ulysses had come back, but wasn't he a student?

Hopefully Uly's appearance would clear that up as he came up to Hannibal? Because he looked squarely in his mid-twenties, now.

And also like something was suddenly dawning on him.

"... You definitely taught at the school while I was here, huh?"

Oh, yeah, in all his misgivings about doing the whole speed-dating thing, he had still managed to not take into account the possibility of running into his former teachers.

"Yes." Hannibal nodded. "I'm guessing the island's been playing with time again. Did you know that before you returned?"

Ulysses shook his head. "Didn't even know I was returning," he said, much like he had to everyone he'd met so far who'd been willing to listen. "Literally just woke up here one morning 'bout a week ago. I'm supposed to be in LA."

"One of the island's whims, then?" Hannibal grimaced in sympathy. "And I'm guessing you can't get back, either?"

"Nope," Ulysses said, really popping that P at the end there. "Can't even get a single fucking text to go through, and that portal place says everything's all closed up."

"That is unfortunate. I believe my own world is similarly blocked now," because he'd specifically requested it, "but I have nothing tying me to it. It sounds as though you do."

Ulysses made a faint scoffing sound. "Only my entire life."

Not that there was that much to it, all things considered. But he missed Ford, and Carly.

And Gabriel. (And his hands, and his lips, and -- Uly, focus.)

"In that case, I hope you're able to return soon," Hannibal offered. "Or at least to contact your friends or family. What have you been doing with yourself until then?"

"Uh, not much," Ulysses admitted. Most of his pastimes of the past week didn't feel like ones a guy like what Hannibal seemed to him to be like would approve of much, and he didn't even have a job. (Oh God he probably needed a job, didn't he?) "Just getting used to being back here, you know?"

Thank fuck for the buzzer.

"Well, this was -- nice."

Or weird. One or the other.

"That on its own can be quite a task," Hannibal replied, nodding as he moved toward his next date. "I wish you luck."
