Three Minute Dates- Caritas- Saturday before 8:15 pm

It was that time agaaaaaain! There was a sign on the door and a banner above the stage.

CARITAS PRESENTS
THREE MINUTE DATES

Or maybe, perchance, you totally missed it somehow, and didn't run from the bar before Tino could sign you up for dates. It happens!

And then a few minutes before 8:00, Kitty took the stage under the banner, to a drumroll from the zombie drummer.

"Hello and welcome to another installment of Three Minute Dates!" Kitty began. "In case you're new to this, in a couple minutes I'm going to call out sets of names. You'll find that person, talk to them for a whole three minutes. When you hear this siren-" Oh, that was an obnoxious air horn sound. "-you'll get a new person to talk to. If you got sucked into this without your knowledge, sorry, and also it's fifteen minutes of your life, make some new friends!"

Margo? Lucille wasn't familiar with the name, no, wait, she had probably heard it on the radio recently. A newcomer, then.

She sipped her wine and waited for her first date to arrive.

“Goth chick, huh?” Margo said, as she descended gracefully into her chair with a gin and tonic in hand and her most understated outfit. Simple, but classy. For when you didn’t want to overwhelm your small-town daters. “I can work with that.”

Margo wasn't the first person to refer to her as "goth", but she was unsure whether the rest of it was meant as some sort of compliment. It didn't matter. Lucille was more intrigued by the eyepatch, and, reluctantly, appreciating of her outfit.

"Good evening," she greeted. "I am Lucille Sharpe. We haven't met."

“Well, that’s not weird, ‘cause I literally just washed up on the stairs a couple of weeks ago,” Margo said. She smiled. “I’m Margo, High Queen of Fillory. What do you do, Lucille?”

"I own the flower shop," Lucille said. "Have you found a place to work yet? There seems to be something waiting for everyone on the island."

“Got dropped in a weird laboratory-apartment above the local discount Lush with a bunch of keys and some forms with my name on them,” Margo confirmed. “I’m starting to think this place is some kind of witness protection island, because it sounds like magic to me.”

Lucille might be well-acquainted with Pick Your Poison, but that description didn't ring a bell.

"Magic or not, I hope you find protection then, if that is what you seek. Or were you just assuming that was what this place itself assumed?"

“Just an assumption,” Margo rasped. “I’ve seen witness protection magic before. It looks a little like this.”

"I confess I have no experience with magic," Lucille said. "But I suppose that if I had I might draw the same conclusion. Unlike you I chose to come and live here. Depending on where you are from it has advantages."
