Three Minute Dates- Caritas- Saturday before 8:15 pm

It was that time agaaaaaain! There was a sign on the door and a banner above the stage.

THREE MINUTE DATES

Or maybe, perchance, you totally missed it somehow, and didn't run from the bar before Tino could sign you up for dates. It happens!

And then a few minutes before 8:00, Kitty took the stage under the banner, to a drumroll from the zombie drummer.

"Hello and welcome to another installment of Three Minute Dates!" Kitty began. "In case you're new to this, in a couple minutes I'm going to call out sets of names. You'll find that person, talk to them for a whole three minutes. When you hear this siren-" Oh, that was an obnoxious air horn sound. "-you'll get a new person to talk to. If you got sucked into this without your knowledge, sorry, and also it's fifteen minutes of your life, make some new friends!"

Malia puffed a lock off hair off her forehead. Two more. And then she could go back to hiding in the woods, maybe.

This was over half-done, and that suited Illyana just fine. She wasn't the world's best conversationalist in the first place, unless you wanted to dig into a session of 'judge everyone' or 'magical theory and breaking physics for funsies.'

"Hey," she said, saluting Malia with a glass of water. "You look about as thrilled as I feel."

"My alpha made me come here," Malia confirmed. "You?"

"Mandatory 'socialization with your peer group outside of class' time," Illyana confirmed. "And it's not worth it trying to lie about it to a sorcerer, so, here I am."

"Also, did you just say alpha?"

"Yeah. Leader of my pack. He's not even on his coast, but he'd still know if I ditched."

He wouldn't. He was going to ask her if she ditched when she talked to him next. It was kind of adorable how hard he was trying to be a tough alpha.

"Do you want me to hex him?" 'Yana offered? "I can."

"Maybe," Malia said. Stiles would sulk at her so much though. "Probably not." She sighed. "I'd offer to bite your sorcerer but I'm trying not to do that with sentient beings anymore."

"He'd probably try to adopt you if you did that," she admitted. "He adopted me, and I definitely tried to bite him at first. I don't like people getting between me and my kill."

And that trucker? Had very much deserved what Illyana had been dishing out.

"I think he just likes adopting feral teenagers, and letting us eat everything in the kitchen. He finds it soothing."

"I didn't work very hard for it," she said with a shrug, "--only because he made it too easy. But it was personal and the world would be better off without him."

"We should clearly hang out more. I need more friends who don't mind that sometimes I kill people."

“Sure,” Malia agreed. “And then we can tell my alpha and your sorcerer that we met people. Mission accomplished.”
