Three Minute Dates- Caritas- Saturday before 8:15 pm

It was that time agaaaaaain! There was a sign on the door and a banner above the stage.

THREE MINUTE DATES

Or maybe, perchance, you totally missed it somehow, and didn't run from the bar before Tino could sign you up for dates. It happens!

And then a few minutes before 8:00, Kitty took the stage under the banner, to a drumroll from the zombie drummer.

"Hello and welcome to another installment of Three Minute Dates!" Kitty began. "In case you're new to this, in a couple minutes I'm going to call out sets of names. You'll find that person, talk to them for a whole three minutes. When you hear this siren-" Oh, that was an obnoxious air horn sound. "-you'll get a new person to talk to. If you got sucked into this without your knowledge, sorry, and also it's fifteen minutes of your life, make some new friends!"

Irene? She probably hadn't met her, although she might have heard the name on the radio recently. Lucille took another sip of wine and waited for her to arrive.

And here came Irene, martini in hand. "Lucille? Irene Adler," she said, offering a hand. "Pleasure to meet you."

Ooh, an old-timey person.

Lucille took her hand. "A pleasure to meet you too. Are you by any chance British, or from a place the multiverse has assigned the same accent?"

"London native," Irene answered, having to laugh a little. "I might steal that, though, since I've definitely met space aliens and the like with what I thought was a perfectly posh accent and it turns out they're from outer Saturn or whatever."

She paused, considered Lucille a moment, and added, "I'm from an England more recent than yours, though, I'd guess."

"I think you are," Lucille said. "I left Cumberland in 1890. I am sure you understand why this place is preferable in most ways."

"Just about every one, even for a woman a hundred-odd years in the future," Irene agreed with a warm smile. "What's your favorite thing about not being in 1890, though?"

It seemed like it was probably a huge adjustment.
