Three Minute Dates- Caritas- Saturday before 8:15 pm

It was that time agaaaaaain! There was a sign on the door and a banner above the stage.

Or maybe, perchance, you totally missed it somehow, and didn't run from the bar before Tino could sign you up for dates. It happens!

And then a few minutes before 8:00, Kitty took the stage under the banner, to a drumroll from the zombie drummer.

"Hello and welcome to another installment of Three Minute Dates!" Kitty began. "In case you're new to this, in a couple minutes I'm going to call out sets of names. You'll find that person, talk to them for a whole three minutes. When you hear this siren-" Oh, that was an obnoxious air horn sound. "-you'll get a new person to talk to. If you got sucked into this without your knowledge, sorry, and also it's fifteen minutes of your life, make some new friends!"

Last date of the evening, and another - well, no, this wasn't a new face, but the face of someone who'd been gone for four or years from the look of it rather than the four months it had been in Fandom since the graduation ceremony. But it was also someone he couldn't say he really knew either.

"So," he greeted. "How's the evening treating you, now that we're nearly to the end of this part of it?"

"Good, man," Ulysses said, with a tiny shrug and a sizable gulp from his glass. "No one's gotten, like, super weird at me so far or anything." His expectations hadn't been very high since he'd figured out he might run into his old teachers - annnd speaking of which. His head tilted, curls flopping to one side, as he eyed Liam in a way that was only slightly suspicious. "Your name sounds familiar. Did you used to teach here?"

No, it's because you used to play attention to the names of the cops on the radio, Uly.

In fairness, he had also taught a few semesters worth of classes.

“For a while,” Liam acknowledged. “I’m also the sheriff.”

Ulysses' brows went up in sort-of recognition. "That's what it was," he said. The little knee-slap was unnecessary, but too bad, it already happened.

Before he thought his own reaction over.

"... Not that I, uh. Had any reason to pay attention to the trooper station people 'round here."

"No," Liam drawled. "Of course you didn't." A beat. "What about now, though?"

"Nope," Ulysses said, maybe a little too quickly? The smile was kind of forced, too.

His activities of questionable legality were actually exactly the same as they had been when he'd been a teen. It was almost adorable.
