Three Minute Dates- Caritas- Saturday before 8:15 pm

It was that time agaaaaaain! There was a sign on the door and a banner above the stage.

CARITAS PRESENTS
THREE MINUTE DATES

Or maybe, perchance, you totally missed it somehow, and didn't run from the bar before Tino could sign you up for dates. It happens!

And then a few minutes before 8:00, Kitty took the stage under the banner, to a drumroll from the zombie drummer.

"Hello and welcome to another installment of Three Minute Dates!" Kitty began. "In case you're new to this, in a couple minutes I'm going to call out sets of names. You'll find that person, talk to them for a whole three minutes. When you hear this siren-" Oh, that was an obnoxious air horn sound. "-you'll get a new person to talk to. If you got sucked into this without your knowledge, sorry, and also it's fifteen minutes of your life, make some new friends!"

Was Illyana rolling up to this one with a new drink in hand? Yes. Making small-talk like a normal person was exhausting, even for just three minutes.

"So how's this going for you so far?" she asked, sitting down. "Are you a willing victim, or an unsuspecting prisoner of fate?"

"I wasn't planning on attending but I stayed without needing to be forced," Belle told her. "So far there haven't been any real problems."

Her last partner had been a bit blunt, but that was something that could be overlooked.

"And you?"

"I'm supposed to 'socialize with my peer group' more, and this is a better option than most," Illyana replied, totally using the airquotes. "So far I've had one totally new person, which is unusual, one current classmate, and now you. So, way better than it could have gone."

Especially since Belle was cute, kinda bookish, and reminded 'Yana of a younger Kitty. Just without super-powers.

"I've spoken with Harry and Malia so far," Belle said. "So it's already better than last time when I was stuck with Five."

"Oh, the nameless baby teleporter." Yes, Five, 'Yana thinks you're a baby. It's the shorts. "The surly glare is hilarious, but I'm rather sure a night in alone would be better than a date with him."

"I would like to fight him sometime though, just for the practice."

"He could probably use an outlet for his aggression," Belle mused.

"We could all use outlets for our aggression," Illyana pointed out. "We're on a small island with the same people for months on end, and constantly put in stressful situations."

"Some people garden to reduce stress, some read, some yell at faceless people on the internet. I tend to prefer books and blanket forts, if hitting something isn't an option, but that's just me."
