Three Minute Dates- Caritas- Saturday before 8:15 pm

It was that time agaaaaaain! There was a sign on the door and a banner above the stage.

CARITAS PRESENTS
THREE MINUTE DATES

Or maybe, perchance, you totally missed it somehow, and didn't run from the bar before Tino could sign you up for dates. It happens!

And then a few minutes before 8:00, Kitty took the stage under the banner, to a drumroll from the zombie drummer.

"Hello and welcome to another installment of Three Minute Dates!" Kitty began. "In case you're new to this, in a couple minutes I'm going to call out sets of names. You'll find that person, talk to them for a whole three minutes. When you hear this siren-" Oh, that was an obnoxious air horn sound. "-you'll get a new person to talk to. If you got sucked into this without your knowledge, sorry, and also it's fifteen minutes of your life, make some new friends!"

Ah, but they had met. Perhaps Lucille was just a bit more firm in Ignis's memory, though, since it was hard to forget disasters, although his current class was making him wonder if Lucille hadn't been the driving force of that particular one.

"Ah, Lucille," he nodded a greeting and lifted his wine in a toast. "It's good to see you. Any exciting foraging ventures into the woods lately?"

Maybe that would jog her memory a bit.

Now she remembered that face, and she couldn't hold back a blush.

"I admit I have stayed away from the woods. It turned out gathering food might not be a talent I have. How have you been?"

"Thankfully," Ignis offered encouragingly, "it's not often a talent that many, particularly in this day and age, have to resort to. And I've been quite well, thank you. Yourself?"

Had she been exposed to any of the terrifying results of her roommate being exposed to the concept of 'loaded baked potatoes' yet?

Well, she was still sitting there, alive and well, so Ignis could only assume that she hadn't.

Whatever Tisarwat cooked couldn't be worse than what Lucille cooked, and so far they were both alive.

"So have I," she replied. "I stick to the plants in my shop rather than the ones in the woods."

She added, after a pause: "You live above the shop, if I remember correctly."

Ignis nodded a confirmation. "Whenever I'm on the island, anyway," he explained, "which has been mostly weekends thus far. It's convenient, to have both my classes at the end of the week so I don't have to split my time too dramatically between here and where I'm from. And yourself? I happened to fall into my living arrangements quite conveniently, but I can only imagine the other options around the island are as interesting as the island itself."

"It is not har to find an apartment here," Lucille said. "And then it turned out that Tisarwat needed a place to stay too that wasn't a basement. It was quite convenient."

"That sounds not only convenient," said Ignis, with a thoughtful sip of his wine, because the two of them, at the very least, did appear to be very good friends, "but also quite fortuitous. Certainly an upgrade from a basement, although I must admit, the events of the summer around here has turned me quite biased against ever wishing to consider a garden-level apartment in my life."

Not that a Scientia would ever have to stoop to that.

"My ancestral home is much worse than any place you could find here, garden-level or not," she said. "Full of dust and memories and silence. Where do you live when you are not in Fandom?"

"I'm from a city called Insomnia," Ignis offered. "Which is, as I've come to understand, on an entirely different planet all together, which is still a statement I have to marvel at saying, even after all this time. It's an incredibly large metropolis, though, making the quaint, quiet, small-town charm of this island a rather pleasant change of pace. Granted, I do enjoy traveling, and where exact--"

Having little to no concern over whether or not a person was in the middle of a question or a sentence, the air horn signaling the end of the round blasted mid-word, efficiently cutting Ignis off as he gave an almost scolding glance its way for being so rude as to interrupt.

"Well, then," he said, his attention shifting back to Lucille. "I suppose that means it's already on to the next round."

"Yes," the smile Ignis gave with his nod was small, but it was genuine, "of course. Perhaps we'll have the chance to do again so soon. Good luck with the rest of your 'dates.'"
