Three Minute Dates- Caritas- Saturday before 8:15 pm

It was that time agaaaaaain! There was a sign on the door and a banner above the stage.

CARITAS PRESENTS
THREE MINUTE DATES

Or maybe, perchance, you totally missed it somehow, and didn't run from the bar before Tino could sign you up for dates. It happens!

And then a few minutes before 8:00, Kitty took the stage under the banner, to a drumroll from the zombie drummer.

"Hello and welcome to another installment of Three Minute Dates!" Kitty began. "In case you're new to this, in a couple minutes I'm going to call out sets of names. You'll find that person, talk to them for a whole three minutes. When you hear this siren-" Oh, that was an obnoxious air horn sound. "-you'll get a new person to talk to. If you got sucked into this without your knowledge, sorry, and also it's fifteen minutes of your life, make some new friends!"

"I don't see how anyone could really run out of things to say around here," Astrid admitted. "If anything, we're all from such different places that that alone could fill up probably fifteen minutes, easily, not to mention three. And then there's always weird Fandom things to fall back on if that well runs dry...I've got plenty of those, since 'back home' for me is honestly kind of boring compared to some others."

Alara included, she felt it was safe to assume.

“That’s true,” Alara agreed, “life at Fandom would definitely be a a good topic for conversation,” she said, pausing slightly, "so where's home for you?" she asked, curiously, while they were on the topic.

"Los Angeles," Astrid answered, with a confirming nod because she figured that would probably be the logical next step in the conversation, "mostly, which is a big city on the other side of this country, if you haven't heard of it."

Long past were the days where she felt surprised that someone hadn't even heard of L.A.

She thought about mentioning that she'd be visiting there again next week, but, well, they only had so much time, and so, instead, she asked, "How about you?"

"I'm still learning about the different Earth cities," Alara admitted, "there's quite a lot of them,"

There was a pause, "I'm from a planet called Xelaya, it's handwavey location since the show hasn't specified where in the galaxy it is yet" she explained, "it's been quite the experience being here on Earth,"

"L.A. is where a lot of the movies on Earth are made," Astrid offered helpfully, because that seemed like a detail that might help place it in the whole general idea of Earth cities, or at least making it a little distinct from all the other ones, and then she grinned faintly. "But I can only imagine what it must be like coming from a different planet, much less a different galaxy. And to think, when I first got here, I thought just being on the East Coast would be we--"

The last of her words seemed to be buried under the blare of the horn signalling the end of the round, and Astrid's attention shifted toward it, her head shaking.

"Always when it really starts to pick up," she noted, but then offered Alara another smile. "But it's not like we won't really see each other around."
