Three Minute Dates- Caritas- Saturday before 8:15 pm

It was that time agaaaaaain! There was a sign on the door and a banner above the stage.

CARITAS PRESENTS
THREE MINUTE DATES

Or maybe, perchance, you totally missed it somehow, and didn't run from the bar before Tino could sign you up for dates. It happens!

And then a few minutes before 8:00, Kitty took the stage under the banner, to a drumroll from the zombie drummer.

"Hello and welcome to another installment of Three Minute Dates!" Kitty began. "In case you're new to this, in a couple minutes I'm going to call out sets of names. You'll find that person, talk to them for a whole three minutes. When you hear this siren-" Oh, that was an obnoxious air horn sound. "-you'll get a new person to talk to. If you got sucked into this without your knowledge, sorry, and also it's fifteen minutes of your life, make some new friends!"

Yeah, those socks were definitely not helping.

"Ohhhhh," said Troy, as if that answer explained everything, and he nodded. "Got it. You're one of those nerds that leans into it hard because that's easier than admitting you won't ever be cool."

One of those nerds he probably would have given wedgies to in the hallway at his old school.

"I mean," said Troy, because, look, if he was going to ask and the narrative was going to bring it up, then he was going to, too, leaning over a little to give a pointed look to the incriminating evidence he was just about to drop on this court, "it doesn't even matter if I ask if you chose to wear those socks, dude, because no matter what the answer is, all signs point to nerd. Directly."

"Well, you're bad at dates if this is your go to material," Five said like he was taking this date seriously. Was he? It was hard to tell!

One thing that Troy could definitely not take seriously was a statement like that.

"Uhhhhh," he said, because this was the most obvious thing in the world, "I'm pretty sure I'm actually really awesome at dates. There's at least two girls here right now that can and will back me up on that."

Unless Alexis and Astrid would...gasp! Betray him over some loser in knee socks!

It was possible, maybe, especially Astrid, but come on! This guy probably didn't even know what a football even was.

Betrayal wasn't likely with Alexis, at least! Not unless she decided Five being a weird jerk could be a turn on.

Five squinted at him for that, sniffing like he didn't believe it at all, But lucky for both of them, the bell chimed before this could escalate.

And not a moment to soon, because excalate this would...into probably a lot of various different intensities of squinting and sniffing for a ridiculously long time if it weren't for that blessed time constraint already in place.

Troy did make sure to get at least one good derisive snort of his own before shaking his head and moving toward his next date with a little "Good luck on the rest of your dates, Socks."

Oh, and would you look at that, guess who his next date was with.

Booyah.
