Three Minute Dates- Caritas- Saturday before 8:15 pm

It was that time agaaaaaain! There was a sign on the door and a banner above the stage.

THREE MINUTE DATES

Or maybe, perchance, you totally missed it somehow, and didn't run from the bar before Tino could sign you up for dates. It happens!

And then a few minutes before 8:00, Kitty took the stage under the banner, to a drumroll from the zombie drummer.

"Hello and welcome to another installment of Three Minute Dates!" Kitty began. "In case you're new to this, in a couple minutes I'm going to call out sets of names. You'll find that person, talk to them for a whole three minutes. When you hear this siren-" Oh, that was an obnoxious air horn sound. "-you'll get a new person to talk to. If you got sucked into this without your knowledge, sorry, and also it's fifteen minutes of your life, make some new friends!"

“I can’t say as anyone’s told me whether anyone around here bites,” Terra admitted, with a slight frown. A beat. “Well, actually- Clare did mention she thought her roommate might want to eat her.”

"Which one is Clare and who's her roommate?" Illyana asked, mildly curious. "Though she's probably safe, they look down on students maiming each other on purpose around here."

'On purpose' was the important part, here. It was 'Yana's understanding they were more forgiving about accidents. She wasn't sure about 'Accidents,' but she was vaguely sure they were frowned upon.

"Regardless, most people around here are of the heroic variety, and have lots of lofty ideals. Cannibalism isn't usually on the agenda."

"Clare's the blonde with the Linphean accent," Terra told Illyana. Terra, she's not going to know what that meant.

"Her roommate's that one, over there," she added, pointing in Malia's direction."

"'Linphean?'" Yana asked. "Isn't that the tiny people from Gulliver's Travels? I think Kitty read it to me when I was, like, six."

"Didn't realize we had pixie-sized people here." She looked Terra over. "Or whatever you are. You're making me want to sneeze. Your magic feels like a pollen allergy."

"Those were Lilliputians," Terra said. "I think." Because somehow despite being a whole dimension over, the Otherworld still got Earth media.

"And 'pixie-sized'? That is a stereotype," she added, frowning slightly. "Fairies are the same size as humans, as you can plainly see."

"I didn't say fairies were pixie-sized, I said the Lilli-people were. In the book, at least," Yana sighed. "Huh. So that's what fairy magic feels like. Nice to know."
