Three Minute Dates- Caritas- Saturday before 8:15 pm

It was that time agaaaaaain! There was a sign on the door and a banner above the stage.

CARITAS PRESENTS
THREE MINUTE DATES

Or maybe, perchance, you totally missed it somehow, and didn't run from the bar before Tino could sign you up for dates. It happens!

And then a few minutes before 8:00, Kitty took the stage under the banner, to a drumroll from the zombie drummer.

"Hello and welcome to another installment of Three Minute Dates!" Kitty began. "In case you're new to this, in a couple minutes I'm going to call out sets of names. You'll find that person, talk to them for a whole three minutes. When you hear this siren-" Oh, that was an obnoxious air horn sound. "-you'll get a new person to talk to. If you got sucked into this without your knowledge, sorry, and also it's fifteen minutes of your life, make some new friends!"

[So much OCD incoming. OCD is up! Date away! A post for Caritas after the dates will go up Saturday!]

"I've gotten better about socializing," Stark said. "It took some time."

He paused to consider what information might be interesting.

"I'm not from Earth. Or human." That was always worth sharing, here.

Lucille couldn't help wondering if it was his hideous disfigurement that made him avoid company. It seemed reasonable, and regardless, she didn't judge.

"I hope you find it worthwhile. I grew up in a very remote location with only my brother for company," - she didn't count her parents as company - "so even a small island like this was something to get used to when I first arrived as a student."

Lucille would probably be so surprised if she ever saw what was under the mask.

"I do. It was lonely, before. I'm not lonely now." He tried, almost successfully, not to start looking to see if he could spot Faye in the bar from where he was sitting.

"That sounds lonely as well. Having only one other person anywhere around. There was no one to take care of you?"

"Our parents could hardly be said to have done that," Lucille said. "I have friends here though, which makes it more of a home than Allerdale Hall ever was."

She, on the other hand, managed not to glance in Tisarwat's direction.

Another week Stark would have managed not to look around for Faye. This week had been long and complicated and he still wasn't feeling entirely settled.

"I'm sorry," he said in response to Lucille's first statement. "But this is a good home to have, I think. Better than most places I've been. The friends do help. Having people here helps a lot."

"There we agree," Lucille said, just before the bell rang. "It has been a pleasure to talk to you, Stark. Enjoy the rest of your evening."
