It was that time of year again! New people were here! New people to date, get to know, or perhaps make a mortal enemy of!

You never know.

Signs were hung up in front of the bar, both obviously, and easy to miss for anyone who might wander in and get signed up without their knowledge. Above the bar was a banner (in glitter):

TONIGHT!
THREE MINUTE DATES!
GOOD LUCK WBRURBODY

Your hostess wasn't gonna question it. And a few minutes before 8:00, she took the stage.

"Hello, everyone! And welcome to Three Minute Dates!" Kitty greeted them. "If you're new to this, the rules are simple. We call your name along with one other person. You talk to this person, get to know their likes, their loves, their dreams. After three minutes, a buzzer will sound-" Pause for the sound. "-and you'll hear your name paired with a different person. Et cetera. If there is anyone you'd like to talk to more, the bar will be open afterwards for drinks and conversation. Remember that any violence will get you transported into the pond, but also please don't attempt violence in order to flee, that is rude to the rest of your dates. Now I'm going to get off the stage. Have fun, and good luck..."

She trailed off, not going to attempt to pronounce the word on that sign.

"Oh, it's my first time doing it," Graham admitted. "I'm...not sure I know of anywhere else that's done it before, but, yeah! So far, it is fun! It's kind of surprising, how fast three minutes can go, but, hey, you know what they say. Time flies when you're having fun! I guess this just proves that to a T!

"So!" he then added, since this was supposed to sort of be a date-like kind of thing. "Where are you from? What do you like to do in your spare time? Do you have a favorite jelly bean flavor?"

"Uh, New Ham, Connecticut, I'm actually looking for hobbies maybe, and cheery," she said, trying to think of answers in the moment.

Hard to have hobbies when you were running a town.

Hey, now, Graham would one day run a whole kingdom, and you better believe he was going still have hobbies!

(Much to many a guard's dismay).

Also, now he was sort of craving some ham, and he spared a look toward the bar, wondering if this tavern had any good food options, too...

Then he shook his head, remembered he was supposed to be on a date, and then jumped right back on track.

"Cherry!" he enthused with clear approval. "That's a good one! Mine's popcorn, and I'm from Llewdor, and I have a lot of hobbies, but I'd have to say....the biggest ones at the moment are probably....D&D, eating pies, and bulking up."

He puffed out his chest, showing that, at the very least, that last one was going to be a hobby of his for a while now.

"Looking good," Allie grinned. "So this D&D thing, is that like... D&D?"

Hopefully she knew what he meant.

"It's D&D!" Graham responded, so...maybe? (After, of course, maybe a little more subtle...very subtle...flexing) "Which is short for Dungeons and Dragons, it's basically this really fun game where you get a bunch of friends together and play out this really exciting story of adventure and heroics! I'm actually the GM, that means I run the game and basically lead everyone through the story! It's really cool, we play every Friday at the ~Maaaaagpie Empoooorium~," yes, it had to be said like that, and, yes, there had to be waggly fingers, "so if you have the chance, you should stop by and check it out!"

"Are people able to go and maybe just watch? Or talk to people? I'm really more of a theater kid," she said.
