Summer Dance/Gala Event | Evening | Saturday | June 19

As the sun started to set, the lights officially came on at the new community center! The building was now complete, its walls gleaming and solid in the waning light. As people began to arrive, they would notice decorations lining the tiled and bright corridors, leading them towards the large auditorium where the dance was being held.

Once inside the auditorium, there were more decorations. Streamers in the colors of summer hung from the rafters and painted the walls. There were fresh flowers in every corner and on every table, bringing fragrance and festiveness to the room. The lights were low in the auditorium, dimmed to provide both mood and setting to this party in the evening.

There were several long tables stocked full with foods of all kinds and there was even a bar with an expert bartender who'd be happy to serve you. Tips were welcome but not mandatory. Large speakers hung in the corners of the room, installed to provide the latest and greatest sound system to the new building.

Everything was completed, everything was ready so it was time to enjoy yourselves!

"I guess not," Robin decided after a moment, a little sad. "But I can hold my liquor, thank you!"

"I know you can but I also see a lot of liquor behind that bar and I know you're trying to make up for yesterday but still."

Yes, he'd just focus on her yesterday.

"We don't talk about yesterday," she said darkly.

"Did you get rid of that shirt you had on?" Fraser asked, ignoring that statement.

"Did you get rid of yours?" she retorted.

"Mine was quite comfortable," he pointed out, "and it didn't proclaim that I loved cats."

"Did yours get you free booze and porn? Mine did," she replied.

"I just wasn't aware you loved kittens so much," Fraser said. "We can get one tomorrow if you'd like."

"You get to deal with the dogs if we do," she replied, glaring at him.

"I think they'd be all right with it if we explained your newfound love to them," he teased.

"I think Dorito would eat any kitten we brought home," she decided.

"Do you really not like cats?" he asked. "Or just prefer dogs?"

"Cats are weird and evil and their eyes never close," Robin replied, answering that pretty succinctly.

"Their eyes never close?" Fraser asked. "Have you spent long hours staring at them?"

"No, because they're creepy," she replied. "They have creepy cat eyes."

"So, how do you know they never close their eyes?" Fraser wondered.

"Scientific fact," she replied easily. "I saw it on TV."

"What television show?" he asked, curious.

"It was on Animal Planet," she told him, triumphant. "Ha! Real TV! I didn't see it on The Bachelor or something!"

"Cats do sleep, though," he pointed out. "They close their eyes then."

"Ever see a cat sleep? Their whole face is scrunched up," she replied. "Because they don't have eyelids."

"I feel like getting a cat just because of your massive dislike for them," Fraser decided, smirking.

"And here I thought you wanted to marry me," Robin said sadly.

"I do," he said and smirked at those words a bit. "What if I wanted to get a cat? Would you agree?"

"If it lived outside and I never had to touch it or look at it."
