As the sun started to set, the lights officially came on at the new community center! The building was now complete, its walls gleaming and solid in the waning light. As people began to arrive, they would notice decorations lining the tiled and bright corridors, leading them towards the large auditorium where the dance was being held.

Once inside the auditorium, there were more decorations. Streamers in the colors of summer hung from the rafters and painted the walls. There were fresh flowers in every corner and on every table, bringing fragrance and festiveness to the room. The lights were low in the auditorium, dimmed to provide both mood and setting to this party in the evening.

There were several long tables stocked full with foods of all kinds and there was even a bar with an expert bartender who'd be happy to serve you. Tips were welcome but not mandatory. Large speakers hung in the corners of the room, installed to provide the latest and greatest sound system to the new building.

Everything was completed, everything was ready so it was time to enjoy yourselves!

"And wouldn't kiss me then?" he asked, weighing his options carefully.

She shook her head. "I'd be too disappointed for kissing," she decided, the corner of her mouth twitching as she tried not to grin.

"Even if I kissed your cheeks and ears and chin to make you feel better?" he asked, smiling as adorably as he could manage.

The smile worked better than the pout and she ducked her head. "I'd be very disappointed," she repeated. "Mayhap you'd need to do more." Even if it sounded good.

"I could kiss your arms and rub your back and kiss your neck," he offered and now he kind of wanted to do that. "I could slide my fingers through your hair and tickle your neck."

Now she wanted him to do that, which seemed hardly fair. She reached out to catch his tie between her fingers. "That doesn't sound too bad," she murmured, wondering if the room had gotten warmer.

"I'm sure I could find other things to kiss too," he promised, nodding. "Places I haven't yet."

"You're good at exploring," she agreed, her cheeks felt hot and she tugged lightly on his tie to get him to move closer.

"And I'd be thorough," he said, moving closer with that tug. "Very thorough."

Mayhap he'd just given the right arguments, mayhap he'd just manage to convince her. Either way, she leaned up to kiss him and she could be thorough as well.

Jonas didn't even think about this being a victory because he'd forgotten about trying to convince her. Now, he just wanted to kiss her so he was glad when she kissed him. He responded eagerly, leaning close.

They were getting rather good at kissing in public, though she'd not know how that'd happened. It seemed to matter very little at the moment and she nipped gently at his lower lip as she drew back. "This doesn't mean I'll not make you do what you said," she warned him.

"I'll tell you my arguments," he decided, nodding slightly and trying to get another kiss from her. "Just not right now."

"I'll allow that," she grinned and leaned forward to allow him that kiss, her finger brushing his cheek.

Jonas just smiled to illustrate his enjoyment of her answer and kissed her again, quite willing to follow through on his promises.

Mayhap spending the dance in this corner wasn't such a bad idea, even if the chairs would be getting uncomfortable soon. No, she'd come to dance and she pulled back, reaching up a hand to touch his lips. "You're distracting," she accused.

"I'm not trying to be," he assured her, smiling. "Apparently, I'm just good at it. I don't think I'm going to apologize."

"Distracting and rude," she teased, her hand smoothing over his shoulder. "Fandom's a bad influence on you."

"I'm not rude, I'm truthful," he said, sliding his own fingers along her jaw and down one side of her neck. "I'm being honest."

"Same difference," she teased, but her voice was husky and that didn't seem fair either.

"You don't seem to have an issue with my truthfulness," he said, smiling softly at her. "I think you like it right now."

"I'm in a good mood," she smiled up at him and she was playing with the lapel of his jacket. "I don't like lies," she agreed.

"I'm not lying to you," he assured her. "I tried earlier and instantly admitted it. I don't think I'm a very good liar."

"I didn't think you were," she rested her forehead against his. "Tis not a bad thing to be bad at it."

"I could think of worse things to be bad at so I agree," he said, closing his eyes and smiling. "I like you."
