April Fools' Dance, An Abandoned Warehouse, Friday Night

The first arrivals to the warehouse would have found nothing - until the lights went on, dropping many shades of glitter down onto the floor. The glitter would stick around all night, almost-but-not-quite clashing with the colorful decor, though it did not seem to incite any boykissy.

Even if one of the janitors definitely took a shot at using it as an excuse.

There was a karaoke booth set up in the corner, and the rest of the party environment looked chaotic and incredibly merry. Reds, blues, and yellows had been thrown together like a crazy man had attacked the place with some paint.

"You said 'and'!" Momoko beamed happily at him and lifted up to kiss him. "Best Boyfriend Ever!"

Jaime laughed. "I am, aren't I?"

She hugged him again. "As long as you carry through and aren't just teasing me!"

Jaime leaned in close, his lips an inch from her neck. He let his warm breath wash across her skin for a moment before asking very, very softly.

"You don't like being teased?"

... "Haaa?" That wasn't a laugh, that was a sigh. Her eyes closed and she swallowed, taking a moment to reply: "Not sure? Maybe you should do that again so I can decide?"

"But," he said in that same breathy way, "I wouldn't want to do anything you weren't going to enjoy."

Ah, that was not going to help her after all. "Hmmmmm?" Momoko's thinking was more focussed on making sure he had full access to her neck. She moved her arms, flattening her palms against his back to keep him this close. "Haven't punched you yet?"

"That," he paused to lightly touch his nose to her skin, "might be just because you're being nice."

"Not that... kind of nice."

"Oh? Then how do you explain it?" Jaime asked, staying right where he was, his skin just barely touching hers.

She gave in, unable to come up with anything witty to respond with. Who knew her neck was that sensitive? "Okay, I do like it. A lot."

"You know what?" he asked in that same, almost too soft to hear tone. He leaned in closer, letting his lips brush against her skin as he spoke. "I like it too."

Ahh. "I'll remember that. And I am totally wearing my hair up more often."

"But it's so very tempting when you do that."

"That's what I'm hoping for?"

"That's just evil of you," he laughs, nuzzling lightly against her neck.

"I keep telling you, I can't be evil. I'm a hero." So why she was shifting her hands to run her nails along his back? Mystery!

"Maybe you're the evil temptress version of Momoko," he suggested with a little shiver. "I bet you've got one of those tight leather suits in your closet."

He liked that? Ooh! Once more thing to remember. "I actually do. With boots. It looks good on me." Ah, Hallowe'en.

Jaime stiffened slightly, blinking. "Really?" he asked, pulling away just a bit in surprise. "I was just kidding."

Not that he was displeased! He just... hadn't thought about it seriously.

Boo!

She chuckled through a sigh and returned to holding him loosely. "Really! Like that superspy from the second Steel Guy movie?" Not that she wanted to remind him about Hallowe'en. "It's not as flashy as Karla's, but I got compliments on it!"

Jaime blinked some more. "I didn't know you still had that!"

Oh. He remembered.

And now he was grinning kind of like an idiot.

"Of course I have it; I keep anything I look good in. Plus it's something to wear when I work with Ms Helena and Dinah." Momoko chuckled at his expression. "You haven't even seen me actually wear it, have you?"

"Only pictures."

Did he sound a bit over-eager there?

Maybe a bit? Enough to make her blush, but it was awesome to hear.

"Hmmm." She looked up, pretending to think. "I wonder if I could find some reason to wear it someday?"
