Parents' Weekend Brunch, Sunday Morning to Afternoon, The Park

As was traditional, the start of the end of Parents' Weekend featured plenty of food, benches, chairs, and coffee in the park. After all, the Student Council couldn't let the parents be weirded out one last time without a feast.

The sky was a little overcast, but the temperatures were still above normal, which was a lucky break for the final day of the weekend.

Peter stood by the food, carefully picking out his meal for the day. He was in a fairly decent mood, having spent last night with Valentine and Ender. It was almost... nice, to have a sense of family with his siblings again, even if the two of them still so obviously distrusted him.

He was smiling a little bit to himself as he picked out some sandwiches.

He had noticed the guy on the other side of the brunch, but he wasn't interested in misbehaving this weekend. It would be of absolutely no benefit to him, and perhaps even less so for tiny-him, much as he'd like to save himself some heartache and embarrassment.

Duncan did make a stop by the food, first. He'd have to head back to the stables and leave again soon enough, but it wouldn't do to do so on an empty stomach. He had too far to travel.

Sam hadn't left yet, but he was debating taking his leave. Jake's silence was an answer on itself and he doubted anyone else still wanted him around. Still, a quick stop at the brunch to fuel up before he made the journey back seemed like a good idea.

He'd gotten a plate of food before his mom could yell at him about refined sugars and was holding it carefully, looking down at the plate to make sure none of the waffles - or fruit which totally made it healthy! - fell off.

One day he'd learn that watching where he was going was more important, but that day wasn't today as Bobby nearly stumbled right into the man's path.

He looked up...and up... "I'm sorry! I should've watched where I was going! Are you...you're really tall." Stating the obvious seemed to be a specialty today.

Soon enough, Scarlett would have to leave and she found she was all right with that since she'd managed to right some wrongs of the past. Bod was here and he was doing well and he had people that cared for him.

Smiling as she found herself some food, Scarlett hoped that trend continued. He deserved it especially considering the past he had.

Not only did Bod have people who cared for him, he had at least one person who was willing to make a total ass of herself over her highly protective feelings towards him.

Yeah, Kate was still feeling guilty about that, especially now that she had her thoughts more in order and less clouded by irrational hatred without a target. Which was why she was gingerly approaching Scarlett now.

Ramon and Frank were heaping plates with food. Well, all right, Ramon was heaping a plate with food while Frank's plate looked almost empty compared to the other boy's.

"You're gonna have a heart attack," Frank commented, shaking his head.

"I'm a were-bear," Ramon reminded him, popping a grape into his mouth. "I need to eat. I wouldn't wanna get all growly."

Frank groaned and shook his head.

When Natalie, book tucked under one arm, came to the food tables for a refill, she thought about ignoring Sam's friends, but since they were there and all, she didn't feel like being rude.

"Predictable," she noted, idly. It wasn't exactly polite, either, but maybe it was amused.

Simon and Alisha had indulged in a lot of candy earlier in his room, but that didn't mean they weren't going to take advantage of what was on offer here.

He looked the food table over carefully, trying to decide on his favourites.

And Alisha was just boggling at all the food. "They seriously do this every time you have some big event?" she asked with raised eyebrows. "Are you honestly expecting me to believe that?" She shook her head. "Wouldn't happen back home."

Kate was having the weirdest birthday weekend of her life, and that wasn't even counting that she'd have another one in a month.

A Fandom-style buffet was a familiar thing, though, so she was indulging in getting a plateful of food to eat before she'd head back home again.

How he remained as scrawny as he did was a question for the ages, because he was busy piling up his plate for the second time while scanning the gathering for Ellie or anyone else to talk to.

Ramona was, for once, not smoking over her breakfast. She was, however, tucked into a chair with a cup of coffee as she watched people, eyeing the visitors quietly.

Oh, like Alisha was supposed to contain her curiosity when it came to Simon's roommate. After he'd pointed Ramona out to her, she made her way over, hands firmly in the pockets over her hoodie, big hoop earrings swinging as she walked.

"Hiya," she said with a quick smile that was mostly natural, once she got to the other girl. "You're Ramona, right? Simon's girl roommate?"

Dany had seemingly spent the weekend in her cloak, her hair braided back carefully. Today, though, she had all three dragons -- two of them hiding in her hood and one nestled in the crook of her arm.

She could see Ser Jaime Lannister, and she was keeping as far away from him as possible, and without any sign of her hair or other recognizable features available to him.

It took almost all weekend, but eventually Tiara found the roommate Petra had described.

"Hi!" she chirped. "I'm Tiara Destiny Swan. Petra's my best friend and she said I had to meet her roomie and her dragons."

Cesare had imagined at first that the cloaked figure was his Micheletto, but the stature was too short, and perhaps too feminine. Curiosity drew him away from Lucrezia's side.

"Tell me," he murmured, under his breath. "Do you hide, or do you wish to observe unseen?"

Some things didn't change. Harry had loaded up his plate with as much food as possible and was scarfing it down eagerly, even as he looked around at the other visitors with a mix of interest and suspicion.

So far this weekend Zoe hadn't slipped and called anyone Dad, she hadn't been embarrassed too badly and nothing had blown up. She was calling this a win.

She got herself a plate and found somewhere to sit, watching everyone. There'd been some weird-looking people here on Friday, and if she saw them again today she could say it hadn't been her imagination.

Jason was actually kind of glad that Bruce wasn't here, because it meant Jason didn't have to worry about sparring or anything like other people were having to deal with. He wasn't about to miss out on free food though, so he headed straight for the buffet and started filling his plate with everything that looked good.
