Homecoming 2017, Community Centre [Saturday Evening]

Just when you thought it was time for the island's collective consciousness to maybe move on from the whole sharkicane thing... along came Homecoming! Well, the theme was actually "Under the Sea", but like the Student Council wasn't going to have glitter-encrusted sharks feature heavily in the decorations? Please.

Of course, it wasn't just sharks: there were plenty of glitter-dolphins, and fish, and octopuses octopi octopodes too. Jellyfish-shaped lights hung from the ceiling, and strategically-placed LED projectors were set up to complete the underwater ambiance.

"Someone not covered in enough glitter yet?

"I mean," Sparkle said, grinning up at Leto, "we could always fix that. Glitter's the easy part."

The kissing, meanwhile, was the fun part.

"We?" Leto raised an eyebrow, grinning back. "I thought you were the one who liked to throw glitter. I seem to recall you did that once."

"It takes two," Sparkle declared. "One to throw the glitter, one to get covered in it."

He was looking quite shameless, now, leaning up and standing on his toes a little.

"Which do you want to be?"

"I'm going to leave the throwing to you, as you've proven your talent at doing it," Leto said, pulling Sparkle a little tighter. "Besides, it would bring back good memories."

"I'm never gonna complain about good memories," Sparkle decided. "There's just one problem."

He leaned up for another kiss.

"I can't throw more glitter unless you let go. And I really don't want you to let go."

After kissing Sparkle again, Leto replied, teasing: "You'll just have to be creative, then."

Because it would certainly get the job done.

It would, and it would be very enjoyable too, Leto thought. Perhaps making it harder to keep an eye on Hania, but maybe she wouldn't tear the place down that quickly?

"An eight? I find it worth trying." Leto gave Sparkle another quick kiss, expressing approval.

"Well then..." Sparkle was grinning shamelessly as he started to nudge Leto toward a particularly glittery wall. "Eight is a good number, I think."

Leto stepped backwards, tugging Sparkle with him. When he reached the wall, he leaned against it.

"How is this working?" he laughed.

Sparkle pursed his lips a little, and then leaned up for an experimental kiss.

"Perfect."

After returning that kiss, Leto said: "Have I told you that you surprised me that first time you threw glitter at me? And then flirted shamelessly?"

"You keep telling me I surprise you," Sparkle said, smiling warmly. "I think I can live with being a pleasant surprise."

Leto didn't say anything, just laughed softly as he looked at Sparkle, then leaned in to kiss him again, about as intensely he was prepared to at a dance, with his daughter potentially seeing them.
