Homecoming 2017, Community Centre [Saturday Evening]

Just when you thought it was time for the island's collective consciousness to maybe move on from the whole sharkicane thing... along came Homecoming! Well, the theme was actually "Under the Sea", but like the Student Council wasn't going to have glitter-encrusted sharks feature heavily in the decorations? Please.

Of course, it wasn't just sharks: there were plenty of glitter-dolphins, and fish, and octopuses octopi octopodes too. Jellyfish-shaped lights hung from the ceiling, and strategically-placed LED projectors were set up to complete the underwater ambiance.

...How long did they need to stay again? Because Anders' kisses made Kathy feel a little heady.

"Dance with me?" she murmured when they finally had to break for air. "We'll get Dante, too. Three of us on the dance floor for a bit..."

Was pretty much the beginning of one of her fantasies, actually. Though she was content to let it stay the beginning so long as they were at a school dance and not an anonymous club somewhere.

"But it's nice to dance with just one person, too," Anders said. "You first. Then all three of us."

Though there wasn't going to be any dancing at all, if he didn't move toward the dance floor. (He didn't want to move. Kathy's kisses still made his knees weak.)

Kathy lit up at that, giving him a smile that was as heartfelt as it was happy. "I'd like that," she said, unable to tease for a second. "You and me for a song or two would be...really great."

She loved what the three of them had together. Full stop. But there was a part of her that would forever be gratified and grateful whenever either of them made time for her alone.

Sorry about your knees, Anders, because she was leaning in to kiss you again, just to let you know how much she loved everything about you.

And there went Anders, kissing her again, letting himself get lost in it.

At this rate, they were never going to get around to actually dancing. Anders only cared so much.

Honestly, standing just off to the side and spending the evening kissing and canoodling sounded like a great idea, too. Anders was handsome and warm and his touch made her ache. So, sure, dance if they got there, but otherwise Kathy was happy to cling to him and kiss him like breathing.
