Homecoming 2017, Community Centre [Saturday Evening]

Just when you thought it was time for the island's collective consciousness to maybe move on from the whole sharkicane thing... along came Homecoming! Well, the theme was actually "Under the Sea", but like the Student Council wasn't going to have glitter-encrusted sharks feature heavily in the decorations? Please.

Of course, it wasn't just sharks: there were plenty of glitter-dolphins, and fish, and octopuses octopi octopodes too. Jellyfish-shaped lights hung from the ceiling, and strategically-placed LED projectors were set up to complete the underwater ambiance.

It was a smile of pure happiness, not seduction, that crossed Kathy's face as she grabbed Dante's hand to head for the dance floor. "Me too," she agreed. "And it's been way too long since I had a chance."

"Maybe that's why this one is called 'Homecoming,'" Kathy said. "Certain amount of symbology there, especially since Prom technically means 'walking.'"

Prom, the beginning of the journey to get home again. That was all Kathy had ever really wanted.

"I always did have better luck at Homecoming than prom."

Well...mostly. Sometimes she couldn't help getting a little handsy. Because he was gorgeous. Not just sexy, but gorgeous.

Her hips didn't require much coaxing--but then, they rarely did. "Damn," Kathy said ruefully. "I guess that means I do have to ask if that's a flask. Here I thought you were just happy to see me."

Kathy bit her lip, shuddering at his words, though she didn't miss a single beat. "Oh," she said, a little weakly. "Guess that answers that."

So, she was definitely getting that hour-long tease she'd fantasized about, that was for damn sure.

"Glad you brought your flask, seeing how my cup runneth over," she murmured.

Couldn't get in trouble for wordplay.
