April Fools' Dance, An Abandoned Warehouse, Friday Night

The first arrivals to the warehouse would have found nothing - until the lights went on, dropping many shades of glitter down onto the floor. The glitter would stick around all night, almost-but-not-quite clashing with the colorful decor, though it did not seem to incite any boykissy.

Even if one of the janitors definitely took a shot at using it as an excuse.

There was a karaoke booth set up in the corner, and the rest of the party environment looked chaotic and incredibly merry. Reds, blues, and yellows had been thrown together like a crazy man had attacked the place with some paint.

Momoko blushed a bit, but didn't look away. "That's going to look pretty silly, the two of us standing here just staring at each other. Especially when there's a whole dance area right over there."

"You don't normally look silly," she admonished, squeezing him a bit closer. "Just when you make that face. The rest of the time you look incredible cute. Or too handsome for your own good. Or adorably confused. Or sincerely concerned, intensely interested, lost in thought, fondly stern, fondly amused..." She knew each of his looks. It was a thing.

Jaime started chuckling softly. "That's a lot of ways to look."

She'd forgotten embarrassed, thought, because that's how he was looking at that moment.

She laughed and made a bug-eyed face at him. "Creepy. Totally creepy!"

"Nope! Your eyes go all dark and you frown a bit and your eyebrow goes up." Momoko let go of him with one arm, reaching up to push at said eyebrow. "Sometimes you hold your chin, too. Usually when you're trying to figure something out."

"Hmm... Both of those are bad," Jaime said thoughtfully. "Maybe we should get you some food. And some entertainment."

Jaime leaned in close, his lips an inch from her neck. He let his warm breath wash across her skin for a moment before asking very, very softly.

"You don't like being teased?"

... "Haaa?" That wasn't a laugh, that was a sigh. Her eyes closed and she swallowed, taking a moment to reply: "Not sure? Maybe you should do that again so I can decide?"
