By the time Saturday rolled around, Rey just needed to be doing something. She'd figured maybe Jane was working, she could talk to Jane for a while. And probably Jane's arms too.

She'd completely forgotten about the dates, and she did try to convince Tino to maybe take her name off the list, which of course he wasn't going to do. Which was also how she learned that either she was too distracted or Tino was shockingly resistant to mind tricks.

This was ridiculous. Yesterday had been stupid. So stupid. And now that Pam was out of reserves, there was nothing to do but find an outlet.

She sat down at the bar with something almost like a wince on her face. At least ordering a drink helped bring it down to a manageably pensive expression.
