The nicest part of winter was how quickly the sun went down in the evenings--gave a vampire a lot more time to get things done before bleeding from the ears and eyes, catching fire, and dying, etc., etc.

Finally back from settling some accounts in Louisiana (and jacking up the prices at Fangtasia in preparation for the Mardi Gras crowds), Eric was back in Fandom, settled into his normal spot well away from the bar.

Vampires don't serve humans, thank you very much. That's what Tiny was for.

Octavia was very much not from a galaxy far, far away. She was just a person who needed a drink, and who'd figured it out by now that this was one of the places to get one.

Except she chose wrong. She didn't even have an ID - and she bristled when she was asked for one (thanks, bad mental association) - and even if she had, well, she wasn't over the arbitrary cut-off age for being served alcohol, apparently.

Which was how she ended up with some non-alcoholic beverage with a bright color and a paper umbrella. Why Tiny thought either of those were an appropriate accessory for her sour face, she didn't know.

Find a spot to sit, chat, and listen to the music. Today's choice, brought to you by the DJ, was apparently "jizz", from a different galaxy.

Tiny snickered any time that came up. So did Eric.

Anakin, after oh so handwavily sending out invitations to the various relatives and others who he suspected of being from his home galaxy, sat down at a table with his Tatooine sunburn (because he was secretly hilarious) and waited to see who would show up.

Atton had very seriously considered not showing up, because Sia might be here.

But he managed to find it in himself to man up and drop by. "You know, Kitty's going to kill me if she catches me drinking in here," he said.

She probably wouldn't.

Enter Kanan, somewhat skeptical about this whole thing, but willing to give it a try anyway.

And maybe wondering how many people here were Jedi. There had to at least be a few of those, right? This place seemed to attract them like a karking magnet.

It felt a little weird to specifically get this group together and not be worried about where someone cane from for once. Jaina was here, drunk in hand, and wondering how many people were here now that she didn’t know already.

That felt weird, too.

Okay. Kanan was... here. Which he normally wouldn't protest against, because let's be real, Kanan was a big fan of cantinas in general, and Earth's bars were... well... close enough, anyway.

He did grin a little once he realized what the DJ was playing, though.

Rey wasn’t sure why she had an invitation to this, she didn’t really know anyone, and she didn’t even drink, not that she could here anyway.

But it was worth finding a spot to watch and feel a little awkward for a while, right?

Luke arrived, looking a little uncertain about being there--normally when he showed up, he ended up proclaiming undying love for Grace Winchester and running a sushi smuggling operation, which was just bizarre. "Hello, everyone."

There weren't any strippers, so this was actually a step up from some of the places she'd gone with Anakin before.

Didn't mean she wasn't considering mind-tricking Tiny to get a drink and stand out less.

Mara strode in like she totally belonged here, already checking the guests against her mental list of who was from her home galaxy.

There were some unfamiliar faces, but she didn't let her surprise show.

Theron really wasn't sure about this, especially once he realised this was the bar that was hung up on people's ages. So he was just going to try and look unobtrusive.

Ben walked in, grabbed a beer, and made his way over the crowd. "There are a lot of faces I don't know," he said.

And his weird, small version of his mother. Which never stopped being odd.

Sia almost hadn't come, and if she hadn't just had some major family stuff happen, she probably wouldn't have. And now that she was here, it stood out to her a little more how much time she hadn't spent with the people she did know before, and now there were more.

Eh, wasn't like she wasn't used to getting through uncomfortable situations by now.

It had been -- a good while since Tahiri had been back, she realized. Long enough that if not for several very familiar Force presences, she might have thought the island just . . . felt wrong. And suspected Portalocity of sending her to an alternate dimension. (Look, she hadn't forgotten Jaina's adventures with Portalocity.)

But no, she was in the right place, and there were definitely some familiar faces here. You know, among the very many she didn't recognize.

All these people from their own galaxy, and it was still almost exclusively humans. What was up with this place?

And apparently Hera wasn't old enough to drink?
