The park- Friday afternoon

Jaina had had a rough couple weeks, so it was sort of a good thing, personally, for a bunch of godzillas to invade a place where she could take those frustrations out on them. Sorry, godzillas! You picked the wrong day to pick a fight!

There were a few in the park, so she was staying local to there, dealing with one in particular that seemed annoyed enough that she was fighting back to keep it up. She might be kind of humoring it at this point. It was like catharsis. There were plenty more if anyone else wanted to take a crack at it!

[Open if you wanna fight a Godzilla in the park!]

Infinite Consortium, Monday

Sometimes, you got artifacts that you knew exactly what they were for. Sometimes, you got artifacts that you had no idea what they were for. And then, sometimes, you got artifacts that you knew what they were for, technically, but still had no idea how, or, more importantly, why?

Like the newly-arrived helm of the host. What would possess someone to wear this? What about the weight? The balance? The likelihood of it getting caught on literally everything?

Maybe someone would want to buy it as a conversational piece, because surely no one was stupid enough to want to buy it and use it as an actual helmet.

Helm of the Host
They say two heads are better than one. If so, this helm is the best ever.

Infinite Consortium, Monday

Liliana had been working on a secret project over the past three weeks and it was almost finished. It was almost as important to win at birthdays as it was at Christmas--and she had lost Christmas to both Ignis and Prompto! Obviously, this could not possibly stand.

And so, her project, sparked by a dinner conversation. One she was putting the finishing touches on now, sitting behind the counter and chuckling to herself, highly pleased by her own cleverness.

In the window was today's item, the Magister's Scepter.

Stark Bitty Tower - Yule Party - Friday Evening

The ballroom was done up for the Yule in honor with a particularly unique chandelier at the ready to keep with the theme. There was a collection of trees for the guests to help decorate and a distressing number of mistletoe hung around with care. If you were prone to enjoying that.

The trees ranged from table-sized to ceiling-scraping and a few of them already had decorations on them: one filled with ornaments clearly made by children, one full of Avengers action figures (how were there so many suits, Tony? How?), and one decorated with the natural ornaments traditional for Yule: berries, pinecones, and dried fruit. Steve and Tony had overruled actual candles on any of the trees, but the traditional fire to celebrate the season was flickering from its containment area on the roof.

And it was snowing indoors just enough to be thematic, but melting before it could actually reach the guests and mess up their nice clothing. Because sometimes Tony just needed to flex on the science skills. Sometimes.

Around Town, Thursday afternoon

Putting up signs about the holiday party would have been easier if Tony hadn't turned into a cat.

Putting up the signs about the holiday party would have been much easier if Thor hadn't also turned into a goat.

Putting up the signs about the holiday party would have been much, much easier if it wasn't also raining marzipan, and yet Steve prevailed!

"Thor, stop eating the marzipan," he scolded, taping a sign to the pole. "Patty, you too."

Both corgi and goat ignored him while the Tony cat sat on his shoulder yowling disapproval about being outside in the weather.

Stark Tower, Friday, December 13th, after sunset
Food, Drink, festive bonfire atop the building no but it is traditional! Revels
Festive attire encouraged!

This was why you didn't write an invitation with a committee, Steve thought with an internal sigh.

"...Thor, stop eating the invitations."

Stark Industries - Monday

Today, Kamala was still riding a high from the weekend so she was in an even better mood than usual. Yes, last week she was a sloth but the last couple of days more than made up for it.

Plus she was eating leftover cake for breakfast so there was also a sugar high involved.

Enter Stark Industries at your own risk. Kamala was likely to be extra cheerful today.

The Ballroom in Avengers Tower (But Make It Bitty), Friday Night

The ballroom was positively sparkling with glitter and the light off of the brand new chandelier for the occasion. (Which should really come as a surprise to no one considering how many chandeliers they'd cycled on through for previous events.)

In preparation to the many amateur skaters they were anticipating, the half-sized walls around the skating rink--now located below the chandelier and taking up three quarters of the normal ballroom space--were well-padded.

There were drinks and appetizers and plenty of good music ready for people to come in and have a fun evening out if they were so inclined! Time to roller disco!

Streets of Fandom, Monday Late Morning

Nothing said closing out Pride Month quite like that, right?

[establishy, but open if you like!]

Fandom Pride Festival 2024: The Park, All Day Saturday (6/22)

The rainbow in the sky over the island for Pride was tradition, any and all weather logic be damned, and it seemed to be especially -- almost defiantly -- bright this year.

And the festival's organizer wouldn't have it any other way.

The park was all decked out in rainbows, glitter, and miniature Pride flags of different varieties. The bounce house and ballpit slide were back again to serve as the centerpiece this year, as were the assortment of rides and very queer-themed carnival games.

The stage with its NPC bands and open-mic sessions was set up next to the picnic area, where an assortment of highly moddable foods had been provided by whichever restaurants Steph had strong-armed into prevailed upon to contribute. Tables and booths were set up on the other side of the picnic area for any vendors or local businesses that wanted to take part, but don't worry, no one was going to try and get you to sign up for a credit card or anything like that. Steph would have personally beaten anyone who tried that over the head with their own clipboard.

Happy Pride, Fandom! Have at it.

[OOC: After I put up the OCD, that is. Threads are up! Go wild.]

Stark Industries - Monday

On the way to her internship this morning, Kamala had gone back to the manor to change and clean up after paintball. On her way out, she found a package from home sitting in the foyer.

After getting settled in at her desk, Kamala opened it up to find her mother had sent along a bunch of milk toffees and a bunch of her favorite baked goods.

Kamala took a moment to inhale the smells from home before diving in and sampling them.

Work could wait.

Waffle House, Friday Morning

The Waffle House was a mysterious thing, arriving on island only in times of great need. Like when a number of people might be very, very. very hungover.

That was why Tony was slumped over on a sticky, poorly washed table, waiting for another cup of weak coffee and much too greasy potatoes with a single slice of barely melted American cheese on them.

Like a real champ.

Stark Industries | Tuesday

So, first order of business: Lucy got herself a cappuccino, thank you Ignis, from the kiosk in the lobby, and made sure to leave a little extra for the little guy working the booth. (These things were, respectively, called a tip -- which she had heard of before -- and a gremlin, which she had decidedly not heard of before.)

Armed with coffee, she set to work familiarizing herself with the available tools they had, and what was already in stock as far as parts and repairs-to-be.

Stark Industries was open!

[though with a lil bit of afternoon SP!]

Monday - Stark Industries

So today was Kamala's first day as a Stark intern. She had high expectations for the day but so far it had been somewhat of a disappointment.

For instance the first-day-of-work outfit that she and Nak's had put together was sleeveless and it wasn't until she arrived at work that she noticed the round bruises from today's paintball game.

Well at least there wasn't paint in her hair.

And she also had not anticipated her day to be sitting at the main desk watching orientation videos and signing paperwork.

"Why do I have to sign a disclosure about not holding Stark Industries responsible if I get attacked by a creation of Tony Stark?" She asked herself out loud.

Best not to ruminate on that, Kamala.

[It's open.]

Stark Industries, Thursday

Tony was going through the paperwork he'd been ignoring this past week with Steve out of town. Which was something Pepper would appreciate, but that was hardly the point.

"J, why is my signature on an internship here?"

JARVIS didn't respond, possibly pretending that the speakers in the shop were broken. And because he'd for sure forged that signature like a kid for a permission slip at school.

"This better not get strange," Tony sighed, putting it to the side for now.

[open!]

Caritas- Tuesday

Kitty was just bored enough to start considering things to do, which ended up in her maybe trying to plan things for a party. Maybe something casual? And not in a bar, even if that was really easy when you ran a bar.

Tino, who hadn't taken down the space decorations from Wal-Mart's website after Saturday, had ideas, and Kitty was going to have to find some way to let him down easy that he would never be allowed in her house.

Stark Industries, Wednesday

Well, Tony was...nominally in the shop proper. Mostly by virtue of getting distracted with an idea before he could continue down to the lab.

He hadn't even noticed the new specials from the Starbucks kiosk.

But, hey, Pepper would be thrilled with all the ideas he was coming up with for the board.

Stark Industries, Thursday

The flowers were mostly gone! Which was good. But now Tony was left bereft of an active project and not even the rage over Elon Musk's continued existence was working.

Which was why he was doing, gasp, paperwork for Pepper. And reviewing his R&D department's projects to make sure nothing was edging into matters not meant for the minds of mortal men or something. You know, the usual stuff.

[open!]

The Junkyard, Monday Morning

Cal had fallen into a pretty solid daily routine that thankfully hadn't been interrupted by any children, but he decided to take a small detour today to check out the junkyard. As much as he wanted to look at the ships, he kept a respectful distance and admired them from afar as he looked over all the scattered piles of bits and parts.

He crouched down to let BD-1 hop down and take a look. "Do you think if we cleaned this place up a little, anyone would mind if we took something useful?"

"We can say sorry later!" BD-1 replied, already running towards a pile of scrap.

Cal laughed and settled down nearby, multi-tool at the ready. "Sounds like a plan to me."

[The junkyard is open!]

Avengers Towerlet, Friday evening

Guests would step off of the elevator into flowers strung artfully from the ceiling and leading them into the ballroom.

And yes, the ballroom had a new chandelier hanging from the vaulted ceiling because Tony was Tony, but at least this one smelled really nice and Steve wouldn't have to find another art museum to donate it to.

The rest of the space was decorated like Tony had told extremely expensive decorators to use too many flowers, with only slight attention paid to what was in season as opposed to what looked dramatic. "How many orchids did they use?" Steve was muttering as he walked around giving a last minute check to the food and drinks.

"A perfectly normal amount," Tony said, smiling beatifically, waiting to great their guests. Because he enjoyed all the flowers. Maybe they actually needed more.

Steve plucked a white flower from the many, many, many to choose from and added it to this lapel. "Well, at least no one will be confused about the theme."

Welcome to the party, everyone! Show off your outfits and your hats!

All Around Town, Thursday Morning

While it didn't really feel like spring at this very moment, it was still here. Somehow. Which meant Tony was quite cheerfully putting up flyers to let people know about...

Because who didn't like a party after such a long, tedious winter?
