Friday Evening: Town Hall: Homecoming (8pm - 10pm)

The first thing that might be noticed when students walked into the Town Hall was the towering stone troll statues that had been dragged in to grace the corners of the dance floor.  It being Homecoming and a semi-formal dance, the trolls were decked out appropriately in hats, glitter, and togas.  Fairy lights were strung across the ceiling, some twined with streamers and some dripping glitter and confetti across the dance floor.

The walls were decorated with blown up pictures of significant events at Fandom: Graduations, the school blowing up, the Christmas pageants, plays, carnivals, zombies, all the moments that make Fandom Fandom.  Given a place of honour on the walls were a mock up of an exploding volcano, a massive gremlin in a bow tie, and, of course, the Stickbug flag.

Large lit up snowmen congregated around the punch bowl against a snowy backdrop and across the ballroom near the stage, there was a mural of large dinosaurs reaching up to enjoy a glittery streamer dinner.  The wall of the door though had the biggest picture of all - a painting of the island at night from across the water.

As students dropped off their wraps, they were pointed to vote for Homecoming Court then encouraged to proceed into the ballroom.

"Well, us and possibly most of the rest of the people hiding out in the dark corners..." Mac theorised.

"I'm trying to tell myself it's the better way to be."

"Yeah, me too." she said. "It's kind of hard when my sister has got two dates for Homecoming."

But then again they were Bel and Anders so Prue honestly thought she had the better deal.

"Two?" Mac arched an eyebrow. "She's going to have her hands full," she remarked.

"I try not to think of the schematics of it." Prue said, making a face. "I just trust Phoebe has it under control."

Ah. That all made sense. "You're Phoebe's sister." Mac nodded slowly. "Yeah, I uh, think that's probably for the best," she agreed.

"I skipped over that whole introduction thing, didn't I?" she said. "I'm Prue. Phoebe and Piper's sister. Chris and Wyatt's aunt...wow, we've got a lot of family here."

"Right." Mac grinned. "I think you're the one member of the family I haven't actually met yet," she said.

"I'm Mac," she added, remembering she should do the introduction in return.

"Nice to meet you Mac." Prue said. "I'm the newest Halliwell here. Even though technically I'm the oldest. Ah, timelines."

Mac snorted quietly. "Tell me about it," she said with a little smile. "I should've graduated already."

"Me too." she said. "Instead I get to watch one of my nephews graduate this year."

"... Okay, that's weird," Mac declared. "And I thought watching Veronica graduate was bad enough."

"She's the one living with Piper and Phoebe, right?" Prue asked. "I haven't met her yet."

Mac nodded. "Right," she confirmed. "We went to high school together before," she added. "In the same year. Which is why... weird."

"Wow. That is weird." she said. "I think you and I might win the award for weirdest timelines."

"I think we do," Mac agreed, giving a little nod. "And I would toast you to that award, but I haven't actually investigated the punch yet," she said.
