The first thing that might be noticed when students walked into the Town Hall was the towering stone troll statues that had been dragged in to grace the corners of the dance floor. It being Homecoming and a semi-formal dance, the trolls were decked out appropriately in hats, glitter, and togas. Fairy lights were strung across the ceiling, some twined with streamers and some dripping glitter and confetti across the dance floor.

The walls were decorated with blown up pictures of significant events at Fandom: Graduations, the school blowing up, the Christmas pageants, plays, carnivals, zombies, all the moments that make Fandom Fandom. Given a place of honour on the walls were a mock up of an exploding volcano, a massive gremlin in a bow tie, and, of course, the Stickbug flag.

Large lit up snowmen congregated around the punch bowl against a snowy backdrop and across the ballroom near the stage, there was a mural of large dinosaurs reaching up to enjoy a glittery streamer dinner. The wall of the door though had the biggest picture of all - a painting of the island at night from across the water.

As students dropped off their wraps, they were pointed to vote for Homecoming Court then encouraged to proceed into the ballroom.

"You never know. They may have replaced it with lighter fluid," said a voice over her shoulder.

"Parker!" Isabel gleed. "You're here!" She put the cup down and hugged Parker, dignity be damned.

"I am! Watch the hair, watch the hair," Parker chanted, then laughed, giving up. "You look great! Where's Steve-Peter? How are things going since we talked?"

Initial squee over, Isabel let go and grinned. "Thank you. Things are fine. Peter's around here somewhere. How are you? Ready for England?"

"I'd better be, I leave in 48 hours." Parker made a face. "I have my schedule figured out, the dorm room reserved, all of my stuff is there already..." She gave Isabel a sad face. "No. Not even."

"Don't you feel like repeating your senior year?" Isabel pouted. "You can come back. Room with me!"

"And suddenly, I feel like I could teleport to England. And take *you* with me," Parker threatened. "No, no, no. I loved this place. But no coming back except for joyous celebrations and genuine emergencies. Or it'll start messing with me again." She grinned at Isabel. "What's on the agenda for the weekend?"

"Come on, you don't want to wake up one morning and not have a clue who you are?" she chuckled. "It makes life interesting. I'm thinking a night in with a metric ton of Chinese food and chocolate. We haven't done that since before you left."

"I like this plan," Parker decided. "Maybe we can do something with River, too. I need to get caught up with her as well, although we're making a try at breaking the dance floor tonight."

"That's fine," Isabel agreed. "As her to tell you about the party we had on the roof. There was lots of shirtlessness and glitter. Speaking of glitter," she motioned towards the still magically glittering neckline of her dress. "Like what Ronan did for me?"

"It's gorgeous," Parker admitted, looking around speculatively. "Ronan, hmmm? I am now feeling underdressed. This must be rectified." She grinned. "And I will. Call me tomorrow?"

"Listen for the lovely Irish lilt," she told her. "I will. It'll be fun. Now go be social."

"Ooooo. You know what I like," Parker lilted herself. She gave Isabel's arm a squeeze. "Have fun!"

"I'm sure I will. Knock 'em dead."
