Friday Evening: Town Hall: Homecoming (8pm - 10pm)

The first thing that might be noticed when students walked into the Town Hall was the towering stone troll statues that had been dragged in to grace the corners of the dance floor.  It being Homecoming and a semi-formal dance, the trolls were decked out appropriately in hats, glitter, and togas.  Fairy lights were strung across the ceiling, some twined with streamers and some dripping glitter and confetti across the dance floor. 

The walls were decorated with blown up pictures of significant events at Fandom: Graduations, the school blowing up, the Christmas pageants, plays, carnivals, zombies, all the moments that make Fandom Fandom.  Given a place of honour on the walls were a mock up of an exploding volcano, a massive gremlin in a bow tie, and, of course, the Stickbug flag.

Large lit up snowmen congregated around the punch bowl against a snowy backdrop and across the ballroom near the stage, there was a mural of large dinosaurs reaching up to enjoy a glittery streamer dinner.  The wall of the door though had the biggest picture of all - a painting of the island at night from across the water.

As students dropped off their wraps, they were pointed to vote for Homecoming Court then encouraged to proceed into the ballroom.

"I'm not set," he protested. "I merely thought you enjoyed it."

"I do," she said immediately. "Why wouldn't I?"

"Well you are trying to change the paradigm," he pointed out, using her word.

"Maybe it's fun to see how you'll react," she pointed out.

"Is it now?" he raised an eyebrow. "Maybe I should make you lead."

She smirked. "Can you follow?"

"I've never tried," he admitted with a chuckle.

He briefly narrowed his eyes at her. "Not my fault it's tradition for the man to lead."

"Never even implied it circuitously," Aly pointed out.

"Just making sure," he grinned at her and he did that twirly thing again, because he did have to enjoy the dress.

Aly made the most of spin, enjoying it greatly. "Now I'm wondering how you'd spin under my arm," she teased.

"Not," he replied teasingly. "You'd need to grow a few inches first."

"Somehow I doubt that's happening anytime soon," Aly laughed.

"Shame," he said with a sigh. "A dress uniform twirls so nicely."

"It does have those cute little skirts," she agreed.

Roy frowned. "They're not skirts."

"Oh yes they are," Aly told him.

"Are not," he eyed her. "Nor are they cute or little."

"Hmmm," she stayed silent for a time. Then tried to steal the lead.

"Hey," Roy protested as he suddenly found himself following her.

Aly looked mischievously up at him and pushed him out into a turn. "What?"

"Do it properly," he chuckled and reached up for her hand, moving it to his waist before resting his on her shoulder. Which... felt odd.
