Friday Evening: Town Hall: Homecoming (8pm - 10pm)

The first thing that might be noticed when students walked into the Town Hall was the towering stone troll statues that had been dragged in to grace the corners of the dance floor.  It being Homecoming and a semi-formal dance, the trolls were decked out appropriately in hats, glitter, and togas.  Fairy lights were strung across the ceiling, some twined with streamers and some dripping glitter and confetti across the dance floor. 

The walls were decorated with blown up pictures of significant events at Fandom: Graduations, the school blowing up, the Christmas pageants, plays, carnivals, zombies, all the moments that make Fandom Fandom.  Given a place of honour on the walls were a mock up of an exploding volcano, a massive gremlin in a bow tie, and, of course, the Stickbug flag.

Large lit up snowmen congregated around the punch bowl against a snowy backdrop and across the ballroom near the stage, there was a mural of large dinosaurs reaching up to enjoy a glittery streamer dinner.  The wall of the door though had the biggest picture of all - a painting of the island at night from across the water.

As students dropped off their wraps, they were pointed to vote for Homecoming Court then encouraged to proceed into the ballroom.

"You may believe that if you choose," she said, unmoved by the sentiment.

"I do anyway," he smirked, guiding them to a more free part of the dance floor so they had more room to move.

Roy grinned at her and the bangs she'd brushed back had fallen in front of his eyes again as he glanced down briefly before starting up a more complicated pattern.

Aly just shook her head at the recalcitrant bangs and followed his lead gracefully. "You're a good dancer," she complimented. "I enjoy following your lead."

"I never sweet talk," she told him.

"You just told me you did," he replied. "Make up your mind."

"Did not," Aly said. "You told me you thought I was doing so. I didn't confirm it."

"You as good as confirmed it," he argued. "So what exactly is it that you want?"

Aly laughed. "I did not! And all I want is a dance."

"That's not much," he tilted his head down. "I owe you more than one."

"I'm glad you remember," she murmured teasingly.

"You have very little faith in me today," he teased back.

"But you have been," he said quickly, his thumb rubbing her back briefly. "Normally it's my role to flatter."

"I'm not set," he protested. "I merely thought you enjoyed it."

"I do," she said immediately. "Why wouldn't I?"

"Well you are trying to change the paradigm," he pointed out, using her word.

"Is it now?" he raised an eyebrow. "Maybe I should make you lead."
