Friday Evening: Town Hall: Homecoming (8pm - 10pm)

The first thing that might be noticed when students walked into the Town Hall was the towering stone troll statues that had been dragged in to grace the corners of the dance floor.  It being Homecoming and a semi-formal dance, the trolls were decked out appropriately in hats, glitter, and togas.  Fairy lights were strung across the ceiling, some twined with streamers and some dripping glitter and confetti across the dance floor. 

The walls were decorated with blown up pictures of significant events at Fandom: Graduations, the school blowing up, the Christmas pageants, plays, carnivals, zombies, all the moments that make Fandom Fandom.  Given a place of honour on the walls were a mock up of an exploding volcano, a massive gremlin in a bow tie, and, of course, the Stickbug flag.

Large lit up snowmen congregated around the punch bowl against a snowy backdrop and across the ballroom near the stage, there was a mural of large dinosaurs reaching up to enjoy a glittery streamer dinner.  The wall of the door though had the biggest picture of all - a painting of the island at night from across the water.

As students dropped off their wraps, they were pointed to vote for Homecoming Court then encouraged to proceed into the ballroom.

Actually, the first thing Chad looked for when he came into the town hall with Teddy on his arm was the glitter. There was always a lot of glitter, after all.

It was weird to think, too, that a year ago, when he did this, he was with Ranma, and Ranma had agreed to go as a girl and everything. That was kind of weird...

River stared up at the ceiling, fascinated by the lights. She tugged Parker's arm and pointed, laughing. "And use of trolls for decoration is creative," she said.

Mac arrived, date free for the evening, feeling rather in the minority. At least she bothered to show, though.

Ronan, alas, was dateless; nonetheless, he had arrived, dressed in the finest tuxedo that clothing-creation wizardries could make.

He might have added a bit of subtle glitter, but then, he is Ronan; it's to be expected.

Johnny didn't have a date, but he'd still shown up for the dance. He'd even dressed up somewhat, although "dressed up" in his case meant a clean long-sleeved shirt, his least dirty jeans, and brushed hair. He couldn't ever picture himself in a tux.

Dick came in arm in arm with Annette. And he was sneaking some not-so-sneaky glances down her dress.

"Whoa, glitter overload." he said to her when they came in.

Shawn couldn't help but stare a little at the decorations as he made his way in. Trolls in glitter and togas. Creepy.

Tori took in the decorations as she entered. Yeah, the trolls? A little weird, considering she'd never seen one up close before.

Meg and Dean arrived to the dance together. Needless to say Meg was kind of weirded out by the decorations.

"Do I even want to know about the trolls?" she asked him.

Pam thought that, frankly, she looked fabulous tonight, between the hour and more she had spent making her hair behave, and the dress (http://pics.livejournal.com/keds_champion/pic/00003y02). Not that she had any particular reason for wanting to look pretty.

She looked around for Blackheart, determined not to tell anyone that she'd only met and secured her date the night prior.

Veronica and Piper entered the hall, still bickering over which one of them had the hottest date.

It was a good distraction that kept Veronica from thinking too much about last year's Homecoming. Jenny arrived, dateless, in a white dress, and made a beeline for the punch. It didn't bother her that it wasn't spiked yet; she had a flask in her bag and could spike her own.

Will showed up at the dance in a pretty pink and black dress.* Sure she was dateless, but that didn't mean she shouldn't have a good time at the dance.

Karal was smiling as they arrived, feeling nervous, but ridiculously proud to be walking in with Molly on his arm. "This is not quite what I expected," he whispered in her ear as he caught sight of the decorations.

Naminé arrived on Valentine's arm. A little hesitant, because with an eyemask and a purple dress, you couldn't hang out in the corner drawing, easily ignored.
