April Fools' Dance, An Abandoned Warehouse, Friday Night

The first arrivals to the warehouse would have found nothing - until the lights went on, dropping many shades of glitter down onto the floor. The glitter would stick around all night, almost-but-not-quite clashing with the colorful decor, though it did not seem to incite any boykissy.

Even if one of the janitors definitely took a shot at using it as an excuse.

There was a karaoke booth set up in the corner, and the rest of the party environment looked chaotic and incredibly merry. Reds, blues, and yellows had been thrown together like a crazy man had attacked the place with some paint.

While Blackagar was unsure why they were celebrating fools for this particular day, he was more than pleased to escort Medusalith to a dance. Even if there weren't any pink drinks here.

He cocked his head to the side as if to ask what the hell was going on and why did a rainbow puke in the room?

Well, this certainly looked... interesting.

Ender, unadorned uniform and all, was there. And, thankfully, not quite covered in glitter - he'd missed the first shower.

The fact that Castiel arrived simply by appearing in the doorway came as no surprise -- really, the guy would zap him up a flight of stairs, these days, rather than have to walk them. The fact that he'd had absolutely no intention of appearing in a giant warehouse full of glitter was another matter.

He looked around to see if any of his brothers were nearby. This seemed to be Gabriel's style, but he wouldn't put it past Balthazar or any of his other brethren.

Well, except Raphael. Raphael didn't have nearly enough of a sense of humor to come up with something like this.

Raven still wasn't feeling all that great, but she wasn't going to miss this. She had on a simple black dress (and shawl because it was cold out and naked shoulders eek) and was looking around for old friends. And hopefully not startling anyone who might have thought she was dead.

Hannibal didn't know if this was a good idea but Abigail had persuaded him and he had wanted to get out of the room so he'd put on a suit, brushed his hair, shaved and caught a portal.

So, now he was there and nervous as hell.

Stephanie couldn't help looking a little dubious. She was from Gotham City; anything that came in shades of riotous color tended to be a bad sign.

. . . yes, she'd stashed her Robin suit nearby. Of course she had. Come on now.

Her dark purple dress wasn't anything expensive or fancy, but it was easy to move in. That was always a priority . . .

Jack hadn't been sure he would bother coming until the very last minute -- he'd just been on the island, and graduation seemed soon enough for another visit -- but the portal was cheap enough that he put on a decent suit and went on his way.

He eyed the glitter suspiciously. He liked kissing boys, but that didn't mean he wanted to be compelled to do so.

Being here was not exactly high on Chuck's list of things to do (he was having one of those "Fandom is so blah" weeks, apparently), but it beat what his stepmother wanted him to do this evening. Seriously, she was trying to push time spent with Jenny and at the moment he was having none of it. He was just glad Lily hadn't made him drag his sister along.

So he was here, He was not looking particularly enthusiastic, but he was here.

Like Quinn was going to miss a dance, even one for a goofy reason. She put on a pretty yellow dress (http://images4.fanpop.com/image/photos/15300000/Dianna-Glee-premiere-party-S2-dianna-agron-15383685-1704-2560.jpg) and went off, looking around for that boy-shaped person with the mohawk.

The glitter was sticking to her shoes, but she liked it.

As if Kennedy would turn down any opportunity to show off a cool new outfit? She'd long since taken over her room's entire second closet with the dressier stuff that was a byproduct of various Fandom social events, and tonight's new blazer, dress pants, and even new boots were only adding to the collection.

"And hello with the crazy colors," she had to comment, gaping at the warehouse.

A party seemed trivial and silly in light of what she'd just been through, but on the other hand, maybe it was just what Leia needed to relax. Throwing herself back into routine once she'd returned to Fandom had helped a little, but she still couldn't help but worry about what was going on back home, though she was trying not to dwell on Alderaan and her family.

Plus she knew alumni had been invited, so she was hoping Luke was going to be there. She put on a dress and a smile and headed out to the dance.

Sure, sure, throw a color scheme like this together at a dance where Katchoo was in attendance.

She looked -- if not happier -- less sullen than she had at most school dances, with a little less of a slouch to her posture.

"What the frikkin' $#*!? Did a clown on uppers eat a box of crayons and then puke?"

Leo wasn't really sure what he was doing at an alumni dance, but it was something to do on a Friday night, even if he had to go through the torture of dressing nice. At least the decor was nice and distracting so even if he ended up in the corner he would have something to look at.

Always optimistic, this one.

If Tahiri -- in a simple light green dress -- didn't know any better, she'd have suspected glitterstim was to blame for the decor; part of her found the chaos of it fascinating, at least.

"Huh," was her only comment as she glanced down at her bare feet, realizing they'd be covered in glitter for days, possibly.

Liz hadn't initially been planning on coming to the dance, but it was relatively quiet back at the BPRD so Professor Bruttenholm told her to go. There were many things Stark missed about the island and earth. Glitter was not one of them. It stuck to everything, somehow, and knew he'd be finding bits of it stuck to his mask (and every article of clothing) for at least a monen.

Looking around for familiar faces, Stark tried not to wince at the color scheme. You might think having one eye would make it half as bad. You'd be wrong.

After thinking it over, Bod had decided to come to the dance. He'd slipped on his suit, brushed his hair and stepped in so he could gawk at the splash of colors everywhere. It was vibrant and vivid, he had to admit that.

Jaina always looked forward to these events now, since it gave her a reason to be able to see people she ordinarily didn't get to anymore. It also occurred to her that she was inching closer to being one of the people who came back for these things, but she wasn't thinking about that right now.

How could she think about that when there was this decor to stare at? So many primary colors...
