Charlie was working on developing the Nomadic Celtic Chef story, with appearances by Silent Surfer Guy. Ronan would find it funny; she'd have to see what Yitzhak thought of it, at some point.

Soundtrack day: Ratman Returns, Sparta, Tuition!

And the kitties are just lounging. It's Saturday. Sunbeam Day.

Groovy Tunes is open.

Luke was lounging against the railing leading up to the door to the bowling alley, waiting for Tori to arrive for their date.

Arcades games and bowling--what's not to love?

[OOC: Luke's here for the girlfriend and great slowplay justice. Fast Eddie's is open for your bowling, pool, and arcading needs.],

"Are we all set?" asked Mary, rushing into the lobby.

"The food is all ready to go, Miss Connell," answered the sous chef.

Gunther just gave her an icy stare. Mary sighed. This could be a long day.

Welcome to the Arms Hotel!
Join us for afternoon tea.

Menu )

Instead of sitting at the front desk, Mary found herself a comfy couch and settled down with a pot of strawberry chocolate tea and a sampler tray.

[Open! I will be AFK until 10 PM so mod Gunther for quicker service.]

Turtle Wexler was depressed. Very depressed. So much so that not even submersing herself in the glow of consumerism in the store was making her feel better. She knew that now would be the good time to pick out some potential new stocks to put maybe some of her inheritance money into, but...she just didn't have the heart. It had been dropping like this all week; it was really worrisome...

Turtle put many of the things produced by her companies on sale to help promote the pushing of product and still had the glittery "Help Wanted" sign in the window.

Today's Squishy Flavor: Bear, Red, and Red.

Turtle & Canary is open.

Everything had been set up, arranged, and opened; it was the same routine Alphonse always followed when he first got to the store. Maybe a tad slower than he usually did, he realized after taking the seat behind the counter. Once Mondays came and went, he had the entire week to blow off and do nothing... Why did he pick last night, out of all of them, to stay up late?

Alphonse crossed his arms over the top of the counter, eying the book he had set aside to go through during the day. Perhaps it wouldn't be a good idea to start reading right away. He couldn't deny there were countless times when he'd fallen asleep while reading, and doing that while working... Miss Millie probably would not appreciate something like that.

He got up instead and began to rearrange shelves. Books had a tendency to relocate themselves into places they weren't supposed to be in, after all.

The store was open for all your booky needs.

There was a cat hair lying on top of the report Roy was currently reading. He stared at it and tapped his fingers on his desk as if waiting for the hair to disappear. This was all Aly's fault. He finally drew in a breath and blew the hair off his report and off his desk.

Maybe he should have taken the day off, but there were three minute dates tomorrow and there was some stuff he needed to get done for this week so he was stuck at the station for now.

((Office door and post open.))

There were no specials. No music playing. No food experimentation. No sticks. No mellow.

The dude's mellow seemed irretrievable.

He hadn't talked to any of the gang since yesterday's blow out at Caitlin - which was, actually, unusual for him. He didn't want to talk to them. He was upset with Jonesy for bragging (he knew it was bragging, it was Jonesy) about what Jude had told him in confidence. He was upset with Caitlin for presuming. He was upset with the rest of them for not stopping either of them.

A very unmellow dude slumped behind the counter, every once in a while seeming to think about working but not quite managing to get things done.

Ellen was at work, and so were Tino and the zombie band. It really didn't get much simpler than that.

There wasn't anything too special about today. Just another night at the bar, really. Setsuna's weekends here were seeming so slow to her that she worried that she might almost be getting bored with it. Between any orders, she leaned forward a little on bar, drifting off a little in thought, trying to think about what might make things more interesting.

Most of them involved blades and blood and left her a little...worried about herself, really. So she bothered Musubi and they could talk about kabuki art. A little less disturbing, that. To an extent.

The Devil's Nest is open!

Annette went for a jog, yes at night. What? She felt like it. Decked out in a black jogging suit, hoodie pulled over her head, she was running and going along a pretty fast clip. She didn't want to be indoors because indoors sucked right now. She could only stare at four walls for so long and she got bored quick.

Her throat still felt itchy but it didn't really matter; the fresh air was probably good for her.

She just hoped nothing was lurking in the park that would totally scare the crap out of her.

(ooc: it's a public place, la.)
