Arms Hotel Lobby, Tuesday

Today, Jeff had hidden the specials board. He had hidden it well, where Gunther wouldn't be able to notice it. He had hidden it so well that he didn't remember exactly where it was, nor how he was going to actually use it.

His plan may have had a few flaws.

None of this kept an angry German chef from yelling at him for several full minutes before stomping off into the kitchen. Nor did it prevent a drooling Saint Bernard from edging ever closer to the very same kitchen, as if sensing an opportunity to cull the weak of the herd. Or at least drool on them.

Turtle & Canary; Tuesday [ 09/04 ]

Today was the second day of classes; to Turtle, that was enough to warrant that the new kids weren't all that new anymore and, therefor, she could take down the sign regarding the seventy percent. She took down the last hiring sign, and put up another one, that she had made during her power hours last night.

That done, she went about a few morning, opening tasks, gave Liz some oil for breakfast, and settled in with today's WSJ for a bit, reading idly as she thought maybe of poking Jeff at the hotel later. They hadn't done much lately and she had to make sure he was prepared for the upcoming radio auditions.

Groovy Tunes; Tuesday [ 09/04 ]

Chad had managed to get enough sleep between work yesterday and regular sleeping last night, but he still wasn't feeling much better. That called for a guitar day at the store and he let Prince Oscar Pedro stay on the counter again today to sing along with the cat songs as a way to thank him for watching his back and covering his shift. Even if Prince Oscar Pedro wasn't really a very good singer, but he tried. Chad appreciated the efforts, though, even if he was still left in his funk and thinking about things way too much.

Today's Mix: Meow Mix when Prince Oscar Pedro was on the counter, Breakup, Breakdown when he wasn't.

Café Fina, Tuesday

The cheese-grater shook his head. "No, mademoiselle, I cannot make sense of it either."

"It's ludicrous," Naminé said. "How can they expect anyone to decipher this mish-mash of legal phrasings and dates? I'm sure we owe them money, but I haven't the telepathic ability to determine the magic number they'd like."

"Perhaps, if we burn the forms, they will forget to send new ones?" the pepper-shaker asked hopefully.

The three looked at one another for a long moment.

(OOC: For newbies: Café Fina's last owner was the fabulous Lumiere, who has departed the island, but some of the cursed staff chose to stay behind in Fandom. The cheese-grater, pepper-shaker, dishes and utensils are all person-sized, sentient, and quite happy to see you - they'll perform musical numbers if you ask. The actual plates you eat off and utensils you use and so on will be normal-sized and inanimate. Sounds fun, right?)

Inventory was done and Giles was now deciding what he needed to put in extra orders for for Hallowe'en next month.

Both the Back to School Special: 15% off all focus crystals and study charms banner and the Help Wanted sign on the door were still in place.

Caritas - Tuesday 9/4 [Open]

Dick was glad to get out of the dorms to go work at the bar on Tuesday. He ended up dragging Meg along with him, telling her that he wanted to show her around town. But what he really wanted was to have her around so she could inadvertently distract Tino while Dick went to the basement to stick itching powder in his bed.

Dick was such a good human being.

The Devil's Nest, Tuesday Evening (09/04)

A successful first class of the semester had Aziraphale feeling particularly chipper as he went about opening up the Nest. He was still dressed in his snazzy "teacher suit", seeing no point in changing for the evening. Once the drink specials were written up, he put some upbeat swing music on the jukebox and hummed to himself as he worked behind the bar.

Leo was stretched out on a lawn chair out front with a pitcher of iced tea, and a plate of brownies. Who knew how much longer the warm weather would last? Had to take advantage of it while it did.

The sign was still up in the window, as he was still hoping for more days off.

After his one class which was fortunately in the morning, Adam made his way down to Galactica Point to start his shift. He was considering stopping in town once his shift was over to check out the pet shop. He was seriously considering getting a puppy.
