Turtle Wexler was not having a good morning. Instead of spending inventory day bouncing around the store with her clipboard, she was practically chained to the counter by the cord of the phone. That's to Jamie's drain on the resources, they were finally out of the bad red, which would have been fine, since they got a new batch of flavors in today. But, of course...
"Yes, hello, thank you," Turtle said quickly when she'd been rerouted. Again. "T.R. Wexler, from Store Number 1337. ...Yes, the one who's been contacting you about the....No, no, we don't need a resto-- Yes, I know we've had record red sales in the past two da-- No, I do not need...LISTEN! For just....two seconds, okay? I don't need more bad red. The red's gone bad; no one wants it. What I did need was Grape Judas; what you sent me was Grape Matthew. That's not even the right apostle! That I have Grape Judas is very important; every vote counts. How can I be expected to be a shining beacon of consistency in the community when the distribution is run by a bunch of...No, I will not be put on ho--"
"UGH." As the tinny muzak started playing, Turtle was about ready to throw the phone across the store. Instead, she just thunked head her down on the counter and let out a moan. "I'm so taking that company down if I lose this election, oh-em-gee."
Today's Squishy flavors: Bureaucracy, Inefficiency, Grape Matthew.
