Tom was in the mood for love when he opened Pizza Planet today. He wasn't sure why- maybe it was talking with Mary about her wedding yesterday. In any case, he was bouncier than usual when he set up for the day, putting up the menu board.

Today's Specials:
The Scavo (full of sugar, spice and everything nice): Cinnamony dessert crust with cinnamon "sauce", chocolate hearts, chocolate-covered raisins, coconut and strawberry slices, finished with powdered sugar
The Super Lynette: Extra-spicy sauce with 4 kinds of peppers and sliced spicy steak on top

Pizza Planet is open.

[You know the drill- SP until 5 PM Eastern time, please mod your service if you can't wait. Might be better to mod your service anyway, as Shuri's sick today. :(]

Annette was in a very good mood this morning when she came into work, just ignore the blush that seemed ever apparent as she dazed into space every so often. And actually, good mood wasn't exactly the way she would describe herself. It went beyond that. It was more like a peaceful, content, giggly... yeah, she was giggly in a cute, blushing way.

She was at work, however, and doing workly things as she straightened the counter and put away new stamps that had just come in. She would certainly help anyone who came in.

The bell was on the counter with a note: Ring me only once. Twice if you feel inclined. Further rings and I can't promise what will happen to you.

To the back of the post office she went, to sort mail.

Someone had sent Pixie Dust an order of obnoxious, cheap T-shirts, ones that said things like "90 percent Sweetheart, 10 percent Bitch" and "Firemen Do It With a Big Hose." Romeo was trying to get them all boxed up to be shipped back before Ms. Bell could find them and either throw a fit or decide to hand them out in his class. He wasn't sure which she'd do, and he didn't want to find out.

There was one he might just keep, though. Truth in advertising was a good thing.

Pixie Dust was open.

The sign read Open-- and while the owner might not have been present in the front part of the shop, it was rather easy to track him down to the meditation room.

He was training, psimitar in hand, intently and intensively. It would occupy a good chunk of his day.

Mary was updating her bridal registry this morning, adding things that would be useful to a couple who were living in a hotel suite with room service but without a full kitchen. Toasters were definitely off the list from this point on.

Welcome to the Arms Hotel!

Back in the swing of things and even bringing the troopers some donuts from J,GoB today, Renee was at her desk and reading over files.

She was just glad the entire island hadn't disappeared while she was away.

Again.

Lacey couldn't help noticing the kitchen staff exulting over something when she came up to the diner this morning, and being both nosy and an occasional ditz she didn't bother to read the piece of paper the busboy shoved at her before she signed it, or to notice that the package that she was supposedly signing for was actually addressed to someone else.

Which was how she found herself in possession of a diner on an island off the coast of Virginia, and looking after a box of wigs and shoes that were supposed to be given to "the artist kid." If it said anything about the story of Lacey's life, she chalked this up as just another one of those things that could only happen to her, sighed, and started mentally redesigning the menu.

This was going to be really hard to explain to the people back home in Dog River, though, so by way of procrastinating on that a little longer, she settled behind the counter and began a long, rambly letter about how much fun she was having in Fandom, complete with details about the living Peeps and the pastries from the sky. She thought it would make things more convincing.

Lacey was kind of dumb that way sometimes.

[OOC: Aaaaaand yes, Lacey is now in charge of Luke's Diner as of today.]

George Michael had brought a toaster to work. Since he and Mary recieved more than one (actually more than two), he thought he would just bring one with him, tinker with it, see what he could use it for. Maybe he could roast nuts somehow. Huh.

Eddie was flying overhead, being his usual sneaky, beady-eyed self. Sometimes George Michael wondered what the bird thought. Did he hate all of mankind? Did he enjoy snatching banana's from the hands of kids? Did he think Edwina was hot?

Who knew?

But the thought would preoccupy George Michael for awhile while he tinkered with his toaster.

Charlotte had a busy morning ahead of her, putting up flyers to announce the upcoming gallery opening.

[[ open to interaction if you want to stop and chat while she puts the flyers up, definitely! ]]

Alex opened up the Magic Box early, making sure the place was clean and organized. Finishing that, she settled in behind the counter, setting her laptop down. Grinning to herself, she surfed the Wizard Web, looking at different types of wands.

She kind of wanted a new one.

The Magic Box was open.

Chad settled behind the counter after setting the kittens of to go play with some of their catnip toys, and pulled out a book to read.

Before anyone got too excited about the fact that he was reading something that wasn't a music or fashion magazine, though, they would want to at least take into consideration exactly what book he was reading first.

Shut up, it was interesting.

Seregil opened up the shop and set out the cookies and tea for any customers who might want some.

Then he picked a book at random and settled down to read.

Jamie sits behind the counter looking bored. Bored as one can possibly be. Even bugging Apu doesn't hold his interest. It's just... a boring day.

Bored.
Bored.
Bored.
Bored.
Bored.

Jamie took a moment to muster up some energy to poke a penny into the change dish by the register...

And then went back to being bored.

[Open! No OCD because I am lazy and I want to tempt fate by not having an OOC thread. That's right. End of the world? The cause is right here. Feel free to Mod Apu.]

Lana was looking fairly distracted today. She opened the store and set out tea and cookies for the customers, but after that it seemed that everything she started was left half done as she moved aimlessly on to something else.

Or she sat staring off into space and playing with the ring on her finger.

At least she didn't have the nasty hangover she'd had the day before.
