At first, Apu thought the cat that showed up on the doorstep to the store was another of Miss Turtle's promotional animal campaigns. But there was only the one cat and Turtle wasn't there either.

He tried to shoo it away, only to have said cat slip in through the open doorway. It immediately hopped onto the counter and settled itself right next to the cash register, tail curling around its legs and holding its head high.

It took Apu a minute to figure out what...no, who it was. "Mister G'Kar?"

G'Kar!Kitty bobbed his head. //Yes. Good Morning Apu.// A small kitty sigh escaped. //I thought this would be over by now. You may continue with your normal work, I'll be here to assist any customers.// Though how he could assist anybody as a cat remained to be seen.

Three days of being a cat was also incredibly boring. That is when he wasn't running from crazed humans. There had to be something he could do. He stalked over to the supply catalogs lying on the counter and very carefully, pawed one open. Hey! Now this was more like it!

Today's Squishy Flavors: Blue Chill, Vanilla Ice, Dead Mouse (don't ask)

(anyone who stops by the store will likely notice the cat on the counter, who appears to be busily looking through catalogs.)

Romeo shivered rather melodramatically -- it was not, in fact, THAT cold on the island itself -- as he unlocked the door to the store, wrapped in a parka, a sweater, gloves, a hat, and a scarf. He stripped down to a long-sleeved shirt and jeans slowly, as if shedding each additional layer might result in sudden death by frostbite, then braved the back room to drag out the little cold-weather wear they still had in stock.

It seemed like a good day for a special, so:

Sale today
15 percent off all skiwear!

No matter that he wasn't sure one even could ski in Antarctica.

Pixie Dust was open.

Sean was busy rearranging the store. Well, was it really rearranging if you were putting things back the way they'd been in the first place? He was still undoing Savannah's reorganizational efforts after nearly a week. He was starting to wonder how she'd gotten it all done in one day.

[Wait for the OCD is up!]

Lana had slept. Finally. All night Sunday, most of the day Monday, and all night Tuesday. Yes, she'd had nightmares, but the pills had dulled them somewhat and kept her asleep despite them.

She was feeling a little groggy this morning, but definitely better over all.

Thus she was curled up in a chair with a cup of hot chocolate to ward off the Antarctic cold, happily awaiting any customers.

He'd put out the make up kits he'd bought with a brand new credit card and waited for everyone to come in.

"All right, folks. Today, we get to learn how to apply stage makeup. Girl, guy, straight, bi, gay, flesh, or, uh, not, stage make up is necessary for any performance. You might think you look perfectly fine up there on the stage, but once you're up there and the lights are on and the rest of the place is dark, it's a heck of a different story.

"After that, we're going to do some work on making sure you project without, you know, shouting. It doesn't matter how good your performance is if they can't tell what the hell you're saying."

He leaned against a pillar.

"I know what you're thinking. You're thinking 'why didn't we do this first'? And the answer to that is

"One, because I didn't think of it since I'm used to working with actors with more experience. And two, because I think it's more important to get your character down before you start worrying about all this crap. So... let's get started, shall we?"

The view from the island was amazing. Alice had never imagined such vivid sunsets over the glaciers and icebergs.

Inspiration struck, and Alice went searching through the racks and toying with the electronic device until she figured out how to set up a climate-appropriate playlist.

Most of the artists she didn't know, and some of the songs may end up being not to her liking, but at least she matched the setting, today.

The very large chunks of ice dotting along the ocean almost made Temari want to get out of the shop to see what they were like.

Almost.

She was better with the heat anyway. God help her when it started to snow.

The television wasn't working. Over three hundred channels, and none of them were working. And Jeff? Jeff was in the lobby, fumbling desperately with the remote in an attempt to get something, anything out of that set.

Nana had fashioned a corner out of several kitchen items and was sleeping there quite happily, gnawing on Gunther's favourite serving spoon.

Donut was trying to get the zombies to do a little penguin dance in order to celebrate their being in Antarctica. They were not being very cooperative.

"Come on guys!" Donut said. "Just put your feet together and flap around!"

[I'm around but might be kind of slow because, ah, I've been drinking. IT WAS AN ACCIDENT]

Antarctica was one of the coldest places on Earth. And now, just off the coast, was a great big chunk of warm.

Tuesday morning found the beach at Selkie Cove awash with seals. Happy, barking, frolicking seals, who were very pleased to find a polar bear and orca free environment in which to sun themselves.

Being not at all familiar with humans, they had no fear of them, and so would merely react with puzzlement and/or curiosity at seeing one. Any food that might be offered would definitely be looked upon with favour.

[ooc: come and look at/feed and/or play with/pat (within reason; they're still wild critters!) the seals! Seals can lumber around, so also feel free to mod them as being around the town, but not up in the school or grounds. The hill's a wee bit steep for them.]
