It did not stop him from hauling in a replicator from his shuttle into the store today as he tried to program it into making a "ho cake".

Yesterday had not been one of Lacey's better ideas.

Granted, that didn't narrow things down much since most days turned out to not be one of Lacey's better ideas, but what she heard on the radio (you know, when she wasn't whimpering at the realization that her stupid globophobia had gotten out on the air) was --

Flash-cut to Lacey, standing atop a cliff and observing as a horde of weetinified Fandom children hopped up on caffeine and sugar rampage through the gorge below in a manner not at all unlike stampeding wildebeests.

Close in on her face as the horror sets in.

LACEY: Oh god . . .

She falls to her knees on the cliffside.

The incriminating (and still traumatizing) bits of balloon had all been swept up with fanatical fervor; the counter had been scrubbed down zealously; the buffet table was stashed away again. And there was a new addition to the specials board.

Daisy couldn't much help being in a good mood today; the fact that the last week had been a busy one had her feeling fairly certain this week might be a little on the quiet side. Of course, she fully acknowledged that this way of thinking could also only be setting her up for failure, but she was willing to take the chance.

Besides, she was too busy trying not to laugh too much as she went about her usual Monday task of transcribing the weekend broadcasts for their records.

Ender was very hard at work today. He was still confused, and bitter, and any number of things about the weekend-- so he dealt with it as he usually did. Thinking little spirals of thought, he went to work with precision on his side and his teeth set firmly in his lip.

Chad had had a really nice weekend, and Teddy hadn't killed him yet for making fun of the Pokemon thing. And what made it even better was that there wasn't a literal shit ton of...well, shit...to clean up in the store today. Just some candy wrappers here and there, it seemed, and Prince Oscar Pedro was more than happy to take care of those by chasing them around the store.

The rat was back. At least, Tony assumed it was the same rat. It looked the same, but in Tony's mind it just looked "rat-like" and that could be said of nearly all rats. It peered out at him from behind a basket of plastic hand clappers.

"You're not getting any of my bagel," he told it. It twitched its nose, gave him an indignant look and ran behind a shelf of figurines. Tony looked behind the shelf a few minutes later, but there was no sign of the rat.

Bender tosed out the remains of his recently gotten candy. Apparently NPC townspeople were much more likely to give him stuff when he was three foot high. If only he'd thought to ax a decent change of oil.

He'd checked on the horses, leading them out for some exercise. Huh. Smudge looked a lot like Gold Cup winner Kauto Star. A robot could do a lot with a horse like that - and nearly as much with a ringer.

Bender turned. There'd got to be some white paint around here somewhere.
