Sam dropped off Mr. Stark's groceries and coffee resupply (these were practically separate categories) in the kitchen before taking up his usual place downstairs. He'd been goofing around online for several minutes when an IM window popped up from 'bzzbzzvroom'.

The Autobots had discovered instant messaging. He could talk to Bee! This was the best day ever.

Stark Industries is open.

A banner, the letters wrapped with fresh spring flowers, hung from the trees, spelling out CONGRATULATIONS, CLASS OF 2009! No missing letters or anything.

Spread out across the park were plenty of tables and chairs, some under the shade of picnic shelters, some out on the grass in the sunshine. For those who felt like getting back to nature, there were even red and white checked blankets spread out in a few areas for old-fashioned picnic-y goodness. Lack of ants not guaranteed.

The long table that ran along next to the picnic shelters was laden with a vast moddable array of traditional brillig-y food, including fruit, veggie snacks, breakfast pastries, sandwiches for the especially hungry or those who arrived more toward the unch end of brunch, and a wide variety of J,GoB-catered desserts. Drinks included coffee, tea, juices and soft drinks, and while there were plates provided, there were also wee picnic-basket-shaped trays for carrying things back to your seat, wherever that might be.

A space had been cleared for dancing, if people cared to do more than just listen to the light music being played through the speakers, and there was also an area set aside for outdoor games of croquet, horseshoes, or frisbee.

Everybody's welcome. Come celebrate with the Class of '09!

[OOC: Wait for the OCD. Don't make Eliza Doolittle have to cut a bitch. OPEN! And no one had to get cut! It's a good day!]

Cafe Fina, Sunday

It was Warren's final shift at Cafe Fina. The last one. Ever. No more. Nix. Nada. Zip. Jack squat. And if he was feeling kind of nostalgic about it, he was going to be the last one to let it show.

Mostly because the Cheese Grater was doing more than enough of that for him.

"And over there is where you slipped on the grease spot and couldn't get up! And there's the booth where we sang you Happy Birthday! And you were making fortune cookies over here..."

"Shut up. And stop clinging to me."

Today's Specials:

Farewell Cake, In Chocolate, Vanilla, and Marble!

En Flambe!

Some things, it seemed, would never change.

[One moment, OCD on the way! Fina is open! Have at thee!]

The Gig, Sunday

There were unfamiliar people. Everywhere. Firekeeper wasn't quite sure what to make of that, except that they'd be gone soon and even more unfamiliar people would arrive, presumably to stay. So instead of trying her patience for crowds and "small talk" two weeks in a row, Firekeeper just went to work with Blind Seer as usual.

[ooc: the wolves are not fans of crowds, but they're certainly not antisocial either! ocd free but open if anyone feels like visiting.]

G'Kar had arrived incredibly early at the shop. Even before Apu got there which was rather impressive.

He planned to spend some time at the graduation celebration, so the early arrival would make up for the time he'd be missing from the store. And there just had to be a sale, don't you know?

50% OFF FOR ALL GRADUATES!
Turtle & Canary wishes you all the best in your new endeavors!

Most of the early morning he spent going over paperwork and inventory lists before he turned the shop over to Apu later on.

Charlotte was pretty sure that a good deal of the graduates, guests, and returning alumni and the like were probably very engrossed in their own good-byes and business, plus there was the whole brunch thing, but that didn't stop her from making sure there was a nice tea service available, just in case any of them did decide that spending some time in an art gallery was a nice thing to do with their family and friends. She was quite ready to make sure that it was a pleasant experience for them if they did.

The York Gallery is open!

Things Reborn, Sunday

Things were a little dicey for Ben right now. Jonah was apparently gone, which was a good thing. But the Peter Parker who graduated from Fandom High was here for the weekend. And even though it wasn't the Peter he was cloned from, there might be a conversation that Ben wasn't really eager to have.

That's why he was rocking a fake mustache today to keep people from noticing any similarities. Nobody was going to be fooled by a simple fake mustache, so Ben figured he'd go way over the top to distract people from noticing any features aside from the mustache.

The first step was, of course, to paint the mustache yellow to be a closer match for his hair.

Yes, he actually opened his shop like this. Even sadder, he put a HELP WANTED sign in the window since he was now down an employee.

Biff was in his normal place behind the counter trying to take a catnap behind a magazine.

The Arms was open.

[OOC: With great SP warning. Today is kind of bad.]

The zombies were not performing tonight. Instead, they were holding up one of those fancy ancient thrones that servants carried around. Seated in the throne was Tino, who was wearing a toga and laurel wreath. When Tino had to mix a drink, the zombies knelt so Tino could reach the ingredients.

Jolee sighed and tried to ignore the zombies attempting to chant "Toga! Toga! Toga!"

For a long while there was silence, Buffy twirling a stake in her hands while Giles seemed content to just sit still. Waiting. And waiting.

"It's been twenty minutes," she said finally. "Nothing's rising. Nothing ever- Okay, things rarely come back from the dead here that I've seen. It's graduation weekend, I want to spend it not somewhere filled with dead people."

"I'm sorry, I seem to be having a sudden sense of deja vu..."

"Because we had this conversation twenty minutes ago?" Buffy guessed.

"That would be why. A bit longer, Buffy, it won't hurt."

Buffy made a face and fell silent.

For about ten seconds. "How about now?"

Giles just sighed.

[Open if you have any reason to hang out in a graveyard!]
