Ghanima was alone today, no Tyler in sight as people filed into the gym.

"Thank you all for being understanding about my choice to cancel club last week. Considering the extenuating circumstances, I'm sure some of us wanted an outlet, but I needed to be with my stepmother."

"I'm going to make it easy this week," she announced. "You two, you two. You and you, and you and you. Mr. Durden can't be here today, so I'm going to ask everyone to function as my other set of eyes, since contrary to popular rumor, I do not have a pair in the back of my head."

"Be smart, know your limits, and go toss someone into the mats a few times. I have a feeling that we all need it."

Another Sunday, another shift spent explaining to the dishes at Fina why Zack hadn't been at work last weekend.

Which, really, hadn't gone as badly as he'd worried it might.

He'd gotten about as far as "I was one of the people who fell asl--" before he was tackled in the biggest group hug he'd ever been involved in. Which was... kinda nice, actually!

Today's Specials:

Half-off on all vegetarian meals, today!

Well, it was a nice group hug right on up until a saucer tried to pinch his bum.

"Hey!"

Cafe Fina is open!

[And OCD-freeeee. *flop*]

Firekeeper and Blind Seer were there as usual, of course, and had the horses out while Firekeeper sat against the fence in the paddock and...

She wasn't worrying, precisely, because Tahiri and Ben were both extremely capable people who could take care of themselves. She was, however, curious as to how they were both doing, and (since she was unware they both actually had made it back today) hoping to see them back in Fandom soon.

Ben stared at the egg holders Harper had put by the register on Friday. He was kind of horrified by them. But he supposed they did serve a purpose, though, since he just happened to receive a shipment of super bouncy balls. So each of the egg holders had a few bouncy balls stacked in them.

This didn't make the egg holders look any less weird.

[OOC: Still feeling the effects of the flu, so I may be slow due to napping throughout the day. I don't expect to, but I'm warning just in case. No OCD today!]

The Gallery wasn't re-opened for business yet, though the door was open. Sophie was rather delighted with her purchase, but she needed to go over the books first before she decided if any changes needed to be made-- aside from the name, of course. Charlotte wasn't even Charlotte York any more, but Charlotte Cooper; so the gallery would need a change too.

She was hoping her employees would stop by so she could discuss schedules with them; Charlotte had been understandably distracted on the subject, the sale going through a day before her wedding.

Until then, she had a glass of iced tea, the books, and a lovely gallery to brainstorm her next exhibit for.

Kyle was doing basic maintenance on his Imperial blaster rifle while he sat at his desk today. It never hurt to be prepared for something where me might need more than the Force, a lightsaber, and his Bryar pistol, after all. It was always possible that he might need a wildly inaccurate rifle for something. He wouldn't put it past this island from everything he'd heard.

[OOC: No OCD here either. I'm lazy today.]

Biff was late and extremely hungover, both signs of a successful wedding and reception.

The Wellspring Arms was open. Shhhh. Loud noises are bad.

She'd fixed the splash problem in the back, which meant no more wet floors.

Also, after having two NPC customers trip over the 'stream' that fed the fishbowl, she raised it, so there was now an arch in the middle of the store, with water going up one way and coming down the other. Don't ask about the mechanics of it, or how the water went against gravity. She was a goddess. It just did.

There was also an addition to the fishbowl. In the very center of the large bowl was now a statue of . . . well, the goddess of love.

But even with the improvements, Aphrodite was frowning. She couldn't put her finger on it, but there was something missing, something she was forgetting.

Oh, well. There was music, a skylight, and a reclining chair. Don't mind the goddess basking in the sunlight.

There were still no fish in the fishbowl.

Dite's Decedent Delights is open.

Chuck had never been so glad for one of his employees to call out of work in his entire life. He needed a drink and he needed it badly. He had tricked girls into bed dozens of times and had never ever felt bad about it until now. Someone had to be blamed for making him realize he had a conscience. He didn't just know who yet.

And, to make it worse, even though he had done the right thing and kicked her out in the morning (yes, that was the right thing compared to manipulating her more) he was still fairly sure he had a stage five clinger on his hands. Which was bad.

At least no one in here could punch him.

As Kate had decided on Saturday, she had actually left the school grounds today. Exactly according to plan, she had found her way into Fast Eddie’s after a nice walk through town.

As she was alone, bowling would have to wait for another time. The arcade, however, provided a lot of fun for one. She planned on trying out most of the games, but for now she was stuck playing Dance Dance Revolution, as she already had been for quite some time.

[OOC: Open for all your arcade-y and bowling-y needs! Come be challenged to a one-on-one in a game of your choosing! If you know Kate, you’re welcome to handwave having heard from her that she would be here today.]

It was Monday morning, the diner was sparkling clean and set up with fresh flowers in the vases on the tables and countertops, all was right with the world . . .

And then a bird had the audacity to try and hop toward the front door in search of the crumbs that Lacey had just swept out into the street.

"Excuse you, no!" Lacey shrieked exclaimed, brandishing her broom to chase it away. "You are not allowed in here, you are not allowed to eat the crumbs, I won't be responsible for you getting too domesticated to live in the wild! Do you know what kind of sanitation problems you would cause if I let you in here? Don't take it personally or anything, but it's a . . . thing. A control thing. It's not your fault you can't control it, but --"

She paused and set down the broom, shaking her head. "I'm talking to the bird. I've been here too long." To the gawking, smirking kitchen guys, she added, "Just pretend you never saw that, okay?"
