Hoshi decided that she was going to use her shift today to work on her first newspaper assignment. Part of this involved pestering Gunther for recipes he was willing to share. Why Hoshi needed Gunther's help in finding recipes was anyone's guess since she was just as good in the kitchen, if not better.

Anyone down on the beach this morning would be treated to a fascinating scene from a Greek myth.

On the waves in the distance was a giant white clam. Currently, it was open, it's top shell standing straight up to reveal the inner, uh, occupant. In the center of the bottom shell sat a smiling blond woman, dressed in what some would say was pink lingerie.

After several long moments of letting the clam drift, the woman stood up, taking hold of a bar that ran across the top half of the clam. Setting her feet, she whistled, then leaned back. A stream of wind picked up, catching the top half of the shell, sending the craft speeding across the water, delighted feminine laughter ringing in its wake.

Aphrodite would have to still open the store later, and there were a few scattered clouds in the sky, but for the moment, the sun was shining, the air was crisp but not cold, and the water was perfect for clam sailing!

(ooc: Open, like a clam shell! Wave at the goddess, or have a conversation with her between runs. If asked nicely, she might even be agreeable to taking someone for a quick sail. Anyone accepting a ride also accepts the possibility of getting wet. (Not dirty unless you want it to be.)

Hurley's status: Awesome and bouncy behind the counter.

Mix of the day: White Zombie and Black Sabbath. A zebra metal mix, if you will.

Groovy Tunes: Open.

[ooc: Open and OCD free. Gone for a few hours now, back laters and around rest of day]

Robin was flipping through Previews magazine. It was like trailers for comics. Very cool.

Welcome to the Android's Dungeon.

Today Jean brought some bread in order to keep the ducks at bay. Each little piece of bread was taken out further into the pond and away from where she was to lure them away from attacking anyone.

Hopefully.

It was like an exercise of her powers! Or really strong wind that carried them out there. Who knew?

The toys were becoming kind of a menace.

Cable wasn't completely certain they weren't multiplying. Not after the third time he had to take a broom through the store, anyway - maybe he should just call Worf and keep him on permanent watch...

Jan, personally, didn't really care. She was too busy gnawing on one of her ragdolls.

The HELP WANTED sign was still resting in the window.

There was nothing like soft baked sugar cookies. They automatically could make Haley's day, which is why she was grinning widely as she munched on them behind the counter while flipping through a magazine of various bike parts.

On the stereo, she had Def Leppard blasting. It was odd how long she had gone without playing them in the store, but she fell back into the music easily enough, even tempted to air drum at certain parts.

The exhibit of Fractal Art might look like something the school office workers would create when let loose with too much coffee, but it was still gorgeous. At least in Sophie's opinion.

The doors were open, coffee, cider and tea were on the sideboard, and Sophie was considering another news article.

She-Ra was a woman on a mission!

Tino had told her of the evil E Coli and how it lived to spread disease and pain to all those around it. Naturally She-Ra had insisted he don a mask and gloves and help decontaminate the zombies.

She-Ra gazed at the bar, latex-covered hands on her hips. "My microscopic foe, you have met your match! I have spray cleanser and I now know just how to use it!" She picked up the unmarked plastic spray bottle Tino had loaded with soapy water and set to work on the counter.

Kyle was busy stacking cans of soup in a giant pyramid for today's sale display. Apu was supervising, of course. Which was to say that Apu was nitpicking and constantly giving constructive criticism. Thankfully by this stage Kyle had managed to tune him out. At least he wasn't talking about Shiva again.

A sign was in the window.
