From what he had learned from the radio broadcasts, Spock had gotten off relatively easy over the weekend, and was not complaining. He had chosen to look on the experience as an object lesson in respecting one's elders, even if his other self had been more...relaxed in his emotions than Spock would have expected.

Perhaps when he was over one hundred, he wouldn't care, either. Perhaps not. The person he had been had never been to a boarding school on Earth, therefore it was not merely his future self, and he could make no logical conclusions after his own future from what remained of his other self's memories. For the meantime he would be here, poking at a circuit board and pondering the ramifications of the events of the past weekend.

Stark Industries is open.

Jill had ventured out on Saturday morning long enough to realize people had gone cray-cray again, but not in one of the more likely-to-be-dangerous ways, then spent her weekend holed up in her room with her laptop and Cup Noodles, researching prom dresses and IMing Ramie about whether or not she'd been serious about designing Jill's dress, because Jill was nothing if not single-minded, in between pirating episodes of Be Good Johnny Weir.

Look, over a certain level of weird, Jill defaulted to 'be as normal as possible until it goes away.' Fear her leet powers of denial.

The comic book art was still up on the walls. Comic books weren't really Jill's thing, but she could still admit some of it was pretty cool. The gallery was open.

Book Haven, Tuesday

Hinata had spent yesterday holed up in her room avoiding anything that looked even remotely like a crayon and otherwise being very glad that—well, Kururu was better than some of the things she could have turned into.

Catching up on radio broadcasts confirmed that. So, today, her mood was set on 'rather pleasant' as she found a book to read and Yei prowled around the store.

She was glad, now, that Warren had made sure that Yei hadn't eaten her. That would have been… uncomfortable, to say the least.

Book Haven is Open.

Ino had told Bod that she normally sang her heart out while at the flower shop. Today… she wasn't singing. The radio was one, if only to provide a cover for normalcy and Ino was fussing with the plants.

They, at least, were always soothing. And she had plenty to think about. Ino scribbled off her assent to a dinner for this weekend then, after some thinking, added another note:

What's everyone's favourite flower and why?

It was—boring, by her standards, but it was a tiny piece of whimsy to amuse herself with.

Loki had not gone batshit insane this weekend. For once, the fucking island had left him alone. If he hadn't been lazy, Loki might have celebrated that fact. Instead, he was actually fucking working. With the warm weather approaching, the pool needed to be prepped so that's exactly what Loki was doing.

Maybe he'd actually go for a swim later. It wasn't like the cold made a difference to him and he thought it might be refreshing. Or maybe he'd just convince someone else to jump in and freeze their ass off. That'd be even more fun.

Jack had his laptop in the shop and was researching how to build lighting kits on the cheap...and was surrounded by a mess of PVC pipe and collapsing tentpoles.

Photo Hut is open, if you dare.

Ralph thought it would be really funny to decorate Gibbs's desk with Coors paraphernalia.

Ralph then got a big freaking smack to the head.

All of the Coors paraphernalia was now in the garbage bins in the back.

The trooper station is open for all your head-smacking needs.

Didi was sublimating her whatever-it-was -- angst was probably the best term, but she couldn't admit to angst -- from the weekend into giving the store a thorough early spring cleaning.

It was the kind of very thorough cleaning that involved loads of hot water, ammonia, scrubbing the back of the shelves of dusty canned goods, and arranging the pyramids of cans to be as precisely placed and symmetrical as possible.

She was grateful to have the work to do. Apu stayed at the counter and out of her way.

Squishy Flavors: Lemon-Scented, Pine-Scented, Grape Judas

[OOC: OCD was dissolved by Didi's power of scrubbing bubbles.]

Jack had handwavily asked Emma to meet him in the park today to feed the ducks, and she'd agreed. It was finally spring, and Emma wasn't going to argue with an excuse to get out of the dorms.

So she sat on the bench, small bag of stale bread from JGoB beside her as she finished off her cigarette.

[Looking for the boy who isn't shy, but open as Parks tend to be!]

Fiona was doing the work thing today.

Which wasn't to say that she didn't do it every Tuesday, of course, but there were times when her mind was elsewhere and other times where she was working at something at the same time. But today, she was Working with a capital W.

There was cleaning around the office to do, reorganizing the file cabinets, tending to the plant... it was all pleasantly tedious and she took to it with a gusto.

Kris did the usual stable chores, feeding the animals and grooming them. Being around the horses continued to make things normal again. Or as normal as this island could be. She didn't even mind the chickens wandering around.

The Gig was open.

Raven was there for work, but her mind was elsewhere. She was thinking of her upcoming visit to Azarath to try to get some information about the people who wished her help in stopping her father. Dinah was going to go with her, and hopefully they would not be noticed.

Ha, fat chance of that.

Atlas Gym - Tuesday

Rose wasn't working as hard as she had last Tuesday - Dimitri's reaction had sealed that, yes.  But she was still trying to keep herself from thinking too much.  She hadn't gone back to the dorms after the morning's training - thinking she'd seen a flash of red hair in the woods was enough to unsettle her even more.  Hallucinations were one thing, but a continuing hallucination was just way too crazy for her.  It wasn't happening.

When she wasn't obsessing over the whole ghost-thing, she was trying not to be upset about radio's implications about her and Dimitri.  Not that a 'relationship' wasn't what she wanted or dreamed about or something, but Rose knew full well that wasn't possible, wasn't happening, and the fact that radio apparently decided that it was just pissed her off.

On the plus side, Jessi wasn't around.  Much.  She'd come in to teach her Tae Bo classes and fled almost immediately after when her smug comment to Rose had ended up with Rose cocking a fist and taking a step forward.  Smug and stupid, Jessi was.  Wanting to have her nose broken, she wasn't.

Jono. Guitar. Groovy Tunes.

Today, he was trying to see if it was possible to play along with what had to be the most catchy British Folk-Pop that he'd heard in his life.

... The banjo was tripping him up a little.

The mouse traps still hadn't caught anything. Tony grumbled a bit and put in an online order for a bigger mousetrap.

All the flats in one corner had holes chewed through them. Tony mixed up a bucket of glue-water and set it down while he looked for a box of muslin scraps. When he returned, the bucket had disappeared. He stared at the spot he thought he'd left it. Where could the bucket have gone?

And then it hit him.

"&@^#&*@^(!&(@@^@%!!!!"

The Boards was open. Tony'd be at the sink, scrubbing glue-water from his hair and plotting various forms of death for whatever joker had rigged that bucket in the flies with a tripwire. He hadn't even heard or seen anything other than a flash of bright orange and he hadn't seen anyone wearing that colour today.

When Robin arrived in the bar tonight, she was exhausted. She'd spent last night looking up American Idol clips and deciding whether or not it was worth attempting to watch this year.

The verdict: Canadian Idol was better.

[I'm off at work until at least 10 EST, so mod Tino until then.]
