The hats were all arranged right side up, there were no crisis on island and there was no inventory to be done.

It was, Irulan decided, going to be one of those idyll days in the shop, perhaps this was a good day to begin preparing for her next book. She took out a pen and paper and with tea on hand started the long process of plotting out her next book.

Jill was freaking out today at the gallery.

This freakout had absolutely nothing to do with the art, or with her role in taking care of and selling the art. Rather, the freakout had to do with how her job was taking away from valuable time she could be spending finding a prom date dear God it was week of how had she let this happen?

She had a dress. She had cute shoes. She had even figured out how to do something decent with her hair. She just...needed to procure a guy before Friday, and pray Jack didn't steal her prom again. Eek.

Spock arrived at Spock Industries precisely on time on Tuesday, and set about performing his duties in his usual efficient and comprehensive manner. It wasn't so much that he strove to be a model employee as that he was...Spock. It just sort of worked out that way.

Really, Hinata thought quietly amused, that summed up far too much of her life right there. She had to admit that it was an improvement in several ways, however, and that she didn't really mind any of the three.

(Not that Yei would put up with being minded in the first place.)

Today she drifted through the biographies. Not reading them, not exactly, but inspecting the backs of them and seeing if any appealed to her.

Today she had her notebooks.

That was a tiny relief. Ino was curled up and studying from them rather than singing today. She had the radio on, of course, but she just… didn't feel like it.

It was stupid to feel useless, right? When she was doing everything she could think of already?

It totally was. Sigh.

There was absolutely nothing unusual going on at T&C today.

Well, other than the fact the produce displays in the grocery aisle seemed determined to all fall to the floor every time anyone breathed near them. Ddi had to move more apples and bananas to the half-price rack for bruised fruit than she cared to count. Eventually she retreated behind the counter and decided to just pick everything up at the end of her shift.

Apu did not appreciate her work ethic.

The lobby television was tuned to some documentary about the Hoover Dam. You would think that Mary wouldn't care, since she'd visited Hoover Dam many times, but she was watching the documentary rather intensely. She may have been missing her hometown of Las Vegas.

Now that everything had calmed down, Cable was doing inventory.

In the past, that had been a fairly simple act: he'd go around and check the back, go through the store, and make sure everything was in order.

By now, though, this had turned into a circus act. Jan kept waddling at him, tossing toy boats and ragdolls his way. Tether would then try to reclaim the objects and dump them somewhere in the corner. Jan would then go after Tether, forcing Cable to intervene, and throwing some of the stocks into chaos in the process.

There was rather a lot of facepalming in Wellspring Arms, today.

The "paintings" from yesterday? Jane was now dealing with some pretty elaborate...doodles, which could or couldn't have been images of people walking down a park, or a dog with ten legs. It also looked like an octopus when you squinted your eyes...

She had painted something at least.

Atlas Gym - Tuesday

Jessi was banished to the Tae Bo room. 

There was no real reason for that other than the fact she was Jessi, and Rose was going to punch her in the nose if she started in on comments today.

...well, also that if Rose and Jaina were going to go look at dresses later, Rose probably shouldn't punch Jessi in the face and end up in trouble for it.  That would kinda spoil the whole girly shopping experience. 

Apparently there were three reasons, Jessi was banished to the Tae Bo room.  If she was gone, Rose could daydream out her plot in peace.  That was a good, good thing.

So Rose would be at the desk.  Daydreaming.

'Dite's Decadent Delights, Tuesday afternoon

It seemed that some sort of paperwork error had resulted in an order of items for 'Dite's store being mixed up with items meant for a pet store. Raven was currently trying to sort them out so she could send the mis-shipped items back. The trouble was, she really wasn't too sure about some of them.

Nevertheless, 'Dite's Decadent Delights was open.

When Kris arrived at the stable, she noticed that Duke seemed more restless that usual. After grooming and feeding the horses, she took him out on one of the trails. He was pretty damn fast today.

"You trying to be a race horse?" she said, chuckling slightly.
