Karla had been very happy to wake up as an adult (or, at least, not a young child) again. If nothing else, she was glad to be able to reach things on the countertops without the assistance of a chair.

She'd had fun being a little girl again (mud pies really were awesome, she'd have to make some again soon), but today was definitely in need of some activities geared for adult. Not dirty! It was a good thing that she and Dinah'd already made plans to spend part of the afternoon trying on specialty bras. Specifically to go with her catsuit that had appeared during one of the crazy weekends and had never gone away again.

Really, it had made sense at the time. Sorta. As much as these things ever did.

If anyone asked, Karla was going to say they'd been drinking.

The station was the last place that Angua, now back to being fully grown as well as having to deal with the first twitches of the full moon approaching, wanted to be right now, but it was the only place she could be. Calling in sick today, or any other such excuse, would simply not work. Calling in sick today would translate into admitting that all of the things she'd want to call in over had actually happened.

Besides, you couldn't very easily call into a place when you'd woken up there. True, it could have been worse. Curled up in wolf form at the foot of the bed, and, good grief, at least she didn't lick him this morning! But she was still naked underneath all that fur, and, while she was certainly not opposed to sleeping with coworkers in general, it was more about the who than the what in this case.

And she licked his face.

And that was only what she'd done with Vimes. How many other faces had she licked?

She didn't even want to think of all the other stuff, and the hunting, and the eating meat (so much meat! Her stomach reminded her of that every five minutes), and her oh-so-subtle approach to icky vampires.

And it just had to time itself perfectly around an approaching full moon, too, didn't it? Angua was, in short, utterly miserable at the moment and just trying to forget that anything happened last weekend.

Some people grew up for a reason; because some people at five could not grow out of their five-ness too quickly.

And the real kicker? There was barely anything in her in-box to distract here. All of it had been used for Ralph to colour on.

Lacey had missed out on being a kid over the weekend; typically, she was secretly pouty over this and straightening picture frames that didn't need to be straightened, vigorously polishing nonexistent spots off the countertops, measuring the windows for new curtains on a whim, and generally just trying to make improvements where they really didn't need to be made.

For once, the kitchen staff was keeping out of her way for fear that she might try to improve them. They wouldn't put it past her, and they wouldn't be wrong about that.

Loki had not turned into a child this weekend. Loki had been mostly in his apartment, trying to beat a goddamn video game so he'd been none the wiser. That was probably for the best because turning into a child might have freaked him out a bit.

But, it hadn't happened so now he was outside, enjoying the sun while he did a bit of cleanup around the pool. Yes, he could actually work when he wanted to. Of course, as soon as he was done, he was planting his ass in a lounger and staying there for the rest of the day. At least his priorities were in decent working order today?

Joan was relieved to find her weetiny friends had returned to normal this morning. Not that they hadn't been cute... but babysitting a bunch of hyperactive tiny people wasn't exactly how she planned to spend her last week of high school.

Not that she was doing much thinking about that last week of high school. Despite the prominently displayed graduation bouquets.

Ashley was actually pretty unaware that anything unusual had happened over the weekend. She'd had a really nice date with Oz on Saturday and spent the majority of Sunday holed up in her apartment.

Of course, that meant she was ready for a good workout when she got to work on Monday morning.

Ender's thoughts were... elsewhere, after the weekend. He had no real instinct to repress: these were things that had happened, and he relived half of them every night in his dreams anyway. Being snapped back to his seven-year-old mind and all the pressure and well-deserved paranoia (or was it really paranoia if it was justified) was... something.

He wasn't going to let it rule him, though. He spent the morning going through the results of his younger self's firewall check, and a lot of his afternoon going through emails and refining his designs.

When Bod woke up, he knew immediately that something was amiss. He wasn't waking up in his bed and he wasn't opening his eyes to see the dull tones of paint on his ceiling. Instead, he was waking up to see the blue of the sky and the dark clouds that suggested rain was coming.

He was in the graveyard. Again. Still. Whatever. The events of the weekend were fresh in his mind and Bod pushed himself into a sitting position, leaning back against the cold granite of the tombstone and taking a breath. That had been unusual to say the least. Being in the graveyard made sense but he still felt a little out of sorts after everything.

And there was a crick in his neck. Bod rolled his neck, hand massaging the crick and not making any move to leave just yet. With a beginning like this, Bod wasn't sure what to expect of the week.

[graveyard's in town so the post is open!]

...Jane was starting to consider bringing a few of her guns to clean them while working. The probable mind scarring resulting of that to her assistants would be an prize she was willing to pay. Besides, they were strong girls -one of them even had a killer vibe Jane wa surprised to find on the island-.

Still, that was a nice, weapons-free day in Strokes of Genius.

It was morning. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, the ducks... were pecking at his head?

"What the-!" startled, Jake jerked awake, tumbling off the bench as he did so.

"Oh shagging hell," he grumbled as the events of the weekend filtered back through his sugar-hungover (as opposed to the more usual hangover) brain. "Thrice-stunned island."

Lord God, but he needed a coffee.

Dani was so grateful to find herself old enough to actually fix her own breakfast. Even better, she was grateful to be old enough to remember how to use credit cards to buy food.

"I really hope I wasn't that helpless when I was little," she told Duke while giving him a good brushing after she got to the stable. "But I'd forgotten how many maids and stuff we had back then. I had to let most of them go when Daddy was arrested."

That was a long story, one that would keep her talking until she was done grooming all the horses. She'd be happy to share it with visitors, though.

As a nine year old, Claudia wasn't much known for sleeping. Which would be why she was kinda sorta napping behind the counter, today.

Hey, it beat out mooning over spending a weekend thinking Joshua was alive and well somewhere.

In spite of the somewhat jarring start to his day, Zack was actually in a fairly decent mood when he walked into the Fina today. Something about spending the weekend as a kid was just good for the spirits, somehow.

And that was why he insisted that they keep sweet homey dessert food on the specials board today, yes. What of it?

Today's Specials:
Peach-Pecan Cobbler! Delicious a-la Mode!

And if Zack just happened to be helping himself to some between, like, every other customer, then what of it?

[One of these weeks, I'll remember that today is Monday so much earlier in the day. OCD free!]

Turning into a kid for the weekend did help with the wannabe-emo Jaina was rocking these days, but it didn't get rid of it completely. It kind of sucked to have fun for a weekend and have no worries... and then have to wake up to real life. And since she couldn't get in touch with the person that automatically made things make sense, she was happily working on repressing. Therefore, she was all good here.

She was glad for the distraction of having to work today, anyway, even if she could have handled herself just fine on Saturday, thank you very much. There was no nudity from Tino today, so she had no problem working with him to check things over and make sure there were no surprise messes left over from all the kids this weekend, all while sipping on a cup of coffee from the Perk. Weird, it tasted fine to her today.

No, really. Hiding, ducked down and everything, not wanting to meet anyone he'd interacted with over the weekend when he was under three feet tall.
