When Firekeeper entered the barn to do her usual morning chores, she found a loaf of pumpkin bread and a half-dozen muffins waiting for her.

What is this? she asked the horses, none of whom had an answer. The food had simply not been there... and then it was.

Firekeeper, of course, was not one to turn down free food no matter how strange its arrival, so after she and Blind Seer made sure the horses were fed and groomed, she carried the food outside with her.

If anyone needed help, they could find Firekeeper nibbling away at a spicy muffin while Blind Seer and the horses enjoyed their usual game of chase.

Mitchell had been taking a stroll to-- well, to take his mind off of things. Being here early meant he wasn't sure what to do with his time, and having little to do meant running the risk of thinking--

Introspection. It was a vampire's greatest downfall.

There was a man standing just outside the box office at the movie theatre as Mitchell passed on by, looking forlorn at a movie poster. Mitchell frowned, thought it through for a few seconds, and then advanced on him. A friendly chat wouldn't hurt, right?

"So what's going on?" he started, out of the blue. "Putting up the new posters? There's a batch of good summer films coming out, I'm hearing."

The man sighed, and rubbed at the back of his head. "Yeah, if I could ever afford any," he muttered. "The crisis, man. Especially in this town. Nearly empty every night."

Mitchell frowned. "Sounds harsh."

You could say what you wanted, but in the large scheme of really horrible impulsive things John Mitchell came up with to deal with himself, buying a share in a film theatre was downright benign.

[[ and open if someone wants to run into Mitchell outside/inside MST3000, sure! ]]

It had taken Aphrodite a little while to feel normal again after her rage, but she was definitely feeling more like herself. Still, every once in a while she couldn't help feel that something was missing. As she stepped into the store on Sunday morning she knew at once what it was.

A display had been knocked down. Underneath it, peeking out from under a sign that advertised "20% off all Edible Body Paints!" was the nose of a cat. A cat who was chewing on a tube of said edible body paint. With a sigh, 'Dite stalked to the mess and pulled out Hercules, who had started to lick his now multi-colored paw.

"I should turn you into a midget and make you work behind the counter all day, you hairbrained monstrosity!"

The rainbow cat blinked at her in all innocence, and twitched his blue tail.

Yep. Things were finally back to normal.

Biff was in the back room meditating and not sleeping.

Josh would be so proud of him.

He was trying to attain Oneness with the All That but he'll hear you if you come into the store.

The Wellspring Arms was open!

[OOC: The OCD is stowing away on my trip to Annapolis in a few minutes, though, so SP=love.]

Hayley didn't believe in park benches. Well, not like one needed to believe in them, like if you didn't they'd all cease to exist and everyone would have to clap their hands to revive benches back into the world. But right now, Hayley preferred the soft feel of the grass against the back of her head, her arms, her legs. Lying back against the grass in a t-shirt and shorts, she read from a mainland newspaper in the classifieds. She needed to find an apartment, and fast.

Eventually she shut the newspaper and just looked up into the sky. Her face was a bit sore, as were her wrists, but there was something just joyous in feeling free. Free and safe.

She had no idea what the GCPD were doing right now with Nygma. She just hoped he got what he deserved.

Not for the first time, Barney was unable to grasp why Tino kept expecting him to do things like pour drinks. Especially when Barney had more interesting things going on. Like watching porn.

Someone's new DVDs had arrived.
