It was another quiet day at the hotel. Mary expected that people would be occupied with the picnic. But it was Fandom and there was always a chance that someone hadn't expected to be spending the night on the island. So she stayed at the front desk in case anyone needed a room.

If the girl behind the bar was looking a little...peaky, her first night on the job, it might have something to do with how long she'd been on this island. Which was only a week, but a week is a long time for some people, especially when you're trying hard as hell not to feed on your immediate neighbors or the huge, hairy guys whose language you can't speak to figure out if they come remotely close to deserving it or not.

Still, Bo managed a tired smile at Tiny as he showed her where the glasses and the good stuff were kept, and the lack of energy worked in her brain's favor when it came to things she probably ought to have asked about. Like those bottles under the counter labeled TruBlood, for instance.
